Into those stock markets now, and shares in defence group QinetiQ are up after it announced less than a month into its new financial year that it expects to surpass previous guidance.
Oil and gas engineering firm Wood Group said it will engage with prospective buyer Apollo Management so a firm offer can be made after it rejected a fourth bid from the asset manager in early March.
US pharma company Merck & Co. is set to acquire Prometheus Biosciences for US$10.8bn, as it looks to bolster pipeline projects.
And in small caps, Eden Research stocks are up this morning on news that its flagship pesticide has received regulatory approval in Poland.
