The FTSE 100 has hit fortnight highs ahead of the weekend, with plenty of results out.
Educational publisher Pearson has posted a 48% rise in operating profit to £271mln, boosted by a 12% increase in sales to £3.8bn.
Property website Rightmove’s revenues and profits are also up, and it says it doesn’t expect to be materially impacted by slowing momentum across the UK property sector.
Elsewhere, Qantas said it’ll recruit 8,500 new employees in the coming decade and take its workforce from 23,500 to 32,000 people.
Computer maker Dell is hiking its dividend after bringing in record revenues of $5.8bn.
And finally in small caps, Trident Royalties rose more than 3% after announcing the Thacker Pass lithium project, in which it has a 60% interest, has been given the go ahead.
