How to push through to finish without losing momentum.

Creating product businesses has many twists and turns. This is how my path has evolved.

Last week was a big conference. 2,800 companies plus 110 inventors were exhibiting! Of course, everyone was there to find contacts but there's another side to what goes on. 

All those 2,910 businesses were eligible to win one of 35 Retailers Choice Awards or a top three award in the invention area. 

Why would that be helpful to them? Because the award winners get promoted to 20,000 industry professionals and 120 media outlets.

Almost every year I get asked to judge sections of the show. (Of course, not in the categories our clients might be competing in! :)

So do you want to know what I've learned after evaluating that many products?

In a super-ironic-twist-of-events I've been asked to teach an entire course at a business college this summer just on negotiating! It's funny because I used to absolutely cringe about negotiating.
