  • Particle Decay Rates and Cross Sections

To substantiate the Standard Model of Particle Physics, we look for certain kinds of particle interactions and other events, including particle decay. Why do decay events produce the kinds of particles they produce, and why do particles decay at all? It's a complicated question, but let's talk about it!

  • Dynamics: What are Forces?

What's a force? No, not THE force. That's from Star Wars. I'm talking about the forces in the universe that make things move. Yes, I know Yoda moved the X-Wing with The Force. Will you quit it? We are talking about the real universe here. Fine, I guess it could be the same universe as ours, but why are there humans that speak English in a galaxy far, far away? Alright fine, go watch a Star War first and then come back to me when you want to learn some real physics.

  • Class Amphibia Part 1: General Characteristics and Development

Continuing through phylum Chordata, we arrive at class Amphibia, the first of the tetrapods. How did they evolve, and what do they look like today? Most people know about frogs and salamanders, but what about caecilians and other strange creatures? Let's take a look!

  • Relative Motion and Inertial Reference Frames

Did you know that everything is moving? Even you, as you're sitting perfectly still, because the earth is moving, and the sun, and the galaxy, and so forth. For this reason, it only makes sense to talk about the motion of some object relative to some other object, just as Galileo told us. Watch this and see what I mean!

  • Personal Pronouns in Latin

Back to grammar! Let's learn the personal pronouns in Latin. These are words like I, me, you, and so forth. These are always implied by the form of the verb being used, but they can still be used for emphasis.

  • Evaluating and Graphing Exponential Functions

We know about functions where exponents are raised to different variables, to produce quadratics, cubics, quartics, and so forth. But what about when the variable itself is an exponent? This is called an exponential function, and they are important for modeling things like population growth and other real-world scenarios. Let's learn about them!

I've seen it a thousand times. Students understand everything during class, but then when it comes time to try the problems on a test, they draw a blank. You just need a solid strategy, and lots of practice! Take a look at this if you are having trouble with kinematics problems.

You know how I've heard and debunked every creationist argument in existence? Well I've never heard them all spewed by one person in 30 minutes! The jerk in this video regurgitates James Tour, Michael Behe, Steven Meyer, even Kent Hovind! And somehow he has a doctorate in biochemistry? Pretty shocking. Let's have a few laughs making fun of him together.
