Tricia Underwood is a joy-centered Executive Functioning Specialist who helps students and adults with ADHD and ADHD-like symptoms learn systems, habits, and strategies to create greater success on their unique terms. After graduating from college with a B.A. in Literature and a couple of years trying to work in an office, Tricia pursued a master's in teaching secondary Language Arts from Tufts University. The more she taught, the more her reputation grew for supporting students who did not fit the traditional school mold. Throughout her career as an inclusion teacher-leader and learning specialist, she discovered that the elements of joy are what get all those other practical strategies for goal-getting like organization, time management, and planning to stick. And they are a whole lot more fun to teach this way too. Tricia has a book coming out in the Fall of 2023 based on her method. When she's not coaching and cooking up her next book and program to teach, she does her best to be a responsible adult and parent while keeping up her practice as an expert daydreamer. You can find out more about her offers, services and book at rarebirdlearning.com where you can also sign up for her free weekly newsletter about 3 good things that have inspired her work with her clients.

What started off as playing games with some coworkers to pass the lunch hour has spun into so much more. Adam started playing The Settlers of Catan with about 4 or 5 coworkers from his division. Word got out that games were being played and within a few months, the group had grown to about 10 people. More games were introduced to the group, and more members joined. These new players came from other divisions in the company. After three years, the group had grown to over 20 people, played over two dozen games, and even spread to other buildings on campus. This led Adam and Tim to start creating and testing their own game designs on their coworkers. From this was born, Bearded Board Games. Again, as Adam's passion kept growing, he wanted to learn about more games that could be played over a lunch hour. Books were read. Podcasts listened to. Facebook groups joined. He then decided that other people should be playing games with their coworkers as well. Voila, Eat Lunch and Board Game came to life. It was an idea that took a long while to get off the ground. The COVID-19 pandemic gave Adam the time to focus and launch this podcast. If you have any ideas of who to interview within the industry, or a game that Adam should be playing and review, please send an email!

As we wrap up 2022 and dive right into 2023 we made this quick episode to look back and be thankful, and look forward and be excited!
On this episode we bring Yu-kai Chou back! At the time of the recording, my newborn daughter wasn't still around, so you might hear a reference here and there about me saying "when I become a parent" or similar. Because this episode is all about what we can learn and apply from gamification with our own kids. Yu-kai's perspective is that of a dad of two twin girls, and of course that of an international renown expert, consultant and the creator of the Octalysis framework for gamification. We go through plenty in the episode, and hope that you find it as useful as I did!
Lincoln Stoller, Ph.D., CHt, CCPCPr From a family of artists and architects he became a scientist, finding inspiration in a succession of extraordinary mentors. A Caribbean fisherman and prophet, a tribal elder in the jungles of Panama, one physicist who invented quantum mechanics, another who invented the laser, and a dirt-bag mountaineer, to name a few. He spent a decade climbing mountains and traveling the world, 15 years as a physicist and astronomer in California, Massachusetts, and Texas, and 20 years as a software architect in New York. He began exploring altered states 50 years ago, psychedelics 25 years ago, and therapy 15 years ago when he developed and offered brain training protocols. He is now a hypnotherapist, neuropsychotherapist, certified clinical counselor, author, and educator. His practice is remote, based in British Columbia, Canada. Using the tools he has collected—combining his experience in somatic learning, scientific theory, and consciousness— he helps people understand the reality they create. Because he is independent, he doubts everything and insists on finding a comprehensive, personal understanding. He supports his clients in reinventing. It can happen quickly. He feels you can accomplish everything using your mind, depending on your ability to focus, perceive, create, integrate, and understand. Leave footprints, make waves.
