On tonight's Progressive Commentary Hour, Gary talks with three guests about the topic of Fake News scandal - The rise of a new McCarthyism in journalism, news reporting and free speech.

 Professor Robert Jensen is a professor in the School of Journalism at the University of Texas at Austin.  His research has focused on many diverse progressive social issues including race relations, foreign policy, feminism, post modern masculinity, the media and others. He is a board member of the Third Coast Activist Resource Center and a national organization Culture Reframed.  He has authored many publications including his forthcoming “The End of Patriarchy: Radical Feminism for Men.”  Other recent books include “Plain Radical: Living, Loving and Learning to the Planet Gracefully”  and  “Arguing for Our Lives: A User’s Guide to Constructive Dialogue.” Robert is the co-producer of a documentary film on the life and philosophy of longtime radical activist Abe Osheroff.
