A growing number of progressives and Democrats in Illinois are expressing concern over plans to ban so-called assault weapons, expand the state's "red flag" laws, and raise the age to possess or purchase a firearm from 18 to 21; not necessarily because of constitutional concerns, but fears of "over-policing."
