This is possibly opening up a can of worms but I fully believe that true Christians should be the poster child and living example of self control and discipline. (And all the other things listed as the EVIDENCE and PROOF that the Holy Spirit lives in us.)

Romans 8:11 says, “If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.”

Galatians 5:22-23 says, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”

I’m contemplating going gray. This had been a long thought out process for me. I’ve been watching YouTube videos, looking up scripture verses on it and really processing out whether I’m ready or not to fully embrace my natural hair. I’ve been dying my hair since I was 14. This would be a big commitment, especially now that my job is selling hair products. So much to say. Let’s chat…

I’ve been in a wild season the last few months, even the last few years, if I’m being super honest. How do you seek the first the kingdom of God while also being in the marketplace selling online. How do you not let it consume your time and thoughts? Social selling takes up so much rental space in my brain. Working with women in this space for a decade now, I know I’m not the only one who feels the overwhelm and mind battle it can become. We can easily get confused on our own identity in the social media space. It’s crazy how much impact it has on our thoughts and internal peace, or lack of peace.

So how do we show up like the Proverbs 31 woman in faithfulness and strong work ethic without burning ourselves out in hustle, comparison and overwhelm?

Today I’m sharing the things I’m learning as I’m in the fire. Good news is that Jesus comes into the fire and lets us exit without the flame even touching us (read the story of Shad, Rad and Benny in the book of Daniel chapter 3).
