As the world faces unprecedented challenges like global warming, what role are media and journalism playing?
Kenn Burrows and Amber Yang say that social media and conventional journalism foster a sense of isolation and powerlessness
that undermines peoples' ability to take action. But they suggest an innovative new approach to journalism --
"constructive journalism" -- can be a valuable tool for reviving community and cooperation.
