Melissa uses the Fascinate method to help Executives and their leadership teams to truly value the Diversity in their team and have them unlock the power of their organization’s diversity.
In this conversation, Tammy and Melissa discuss how to keep the DEI conversation moving forward and what the future of DEI work looks like. We also touched on how people can take a step back to make room for people of difference and how our own unconscious/internalized bias can get in our way.

Welcome back to the Project Elevate Podcast with Tammy Benay Perry! On today’s episode, we are joined by Jessica Avitabile. Jessica , the Joy Coach, is a seasoned health, wellness, and life coach who uses somatics and flow coaching to help elevate joy in her client’s lives.
In this conversation, Tammy and Jessica discuss Jessica’s definition of joy. Jessica believes that joy is a filter (interesting concept) and way of being. Jessica also asks this question of the audience, “What can you bring to a situation to make it better?”
She has worked with hundreds of clients in the weight management space and as a Nia Black Belt, she leads her clients through her signature process, Journey to Joy. She holds a Master's Degree in Teaching Biology and an undergraduate degree in Business Administration. Her vast and varied education makes her able to offer personal insights on a number of topics, but her favorite subject to speak about is, you guessed it, joy.

Diversified focuses on celebrating diversity at work and how that can lead to stellar results for employees, consumers, and communities.
Rachel Lauren is a conscious social influencer who is passionate about women’s rights, racial equity, foster care/adoption, and so much more! In her many social media platforms, she speaks against racial inequality and advocates for the lives of all Black people.
Tammy and Lauren emphasize the importance of having spaces that people can call their own and finding individuals they can identify with in order to have transparent conversations. The road to racial equality varies across different groups of people. It is important to make your voice heard and to give yourself a seat at the table.

Tammy and Stacey address the current discourse surrounding diversity and inclusion in the workplace. It seems that we have identified the problems relating to equity in the corporate world, but where are the solutions?
