Project Freelance

This is the story of how an internship with Live Nation led someone to their dream job! I got in touch with Alexandra through a facebook group I'm a part of and I wanted to have her on to talk about her love for live music photography.

This week on Project Freelance I am joined by touring content creator, Sam Medina. I found him on Instagram from a video that he made for NF at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. I was blown away by the creativity and knew that I had to get him on the podcast to talk about his creative process, how he started touring, and what he's looking forward to as his career grows.

This week on the Project Freelance podcast I am joined by Boston Schulz, a professional concert photographer. She's been shooting for six years and also works in marketing! She freelances and has a 9-5! What a badass! She shoots in the punk, rock, and country worlds.

I wanted to get Boston's tips for licensing out live music photos and selling prints. I hope this episode helps you along your journey as a photographer.

This week I am joined by Elizabeth Rajchart, a photographer who specializes in boudoir, drag, and, what she calls, disability power portrait photography. More than anything I wanted to know what kind of things can be done to make the world of photography more accommodating for our disabled friends out there. I hope this podcast can help inspire those out there that are listening to get out there and pursue their passions.

This week it is my absolute pleasure to be joined by Boylord to talk about his start as a freelance music producer. He just finished producing two back to back records for Futuristic titled "I AM" and "Zachary Lewis," and is about to head out on tour with Futuristic. It's crazy to think that this kid started in a basement and is now living, eating, and breathing music production full time.

This week on Project Freelance I am so stoked to have Mike Volkin of Freelancer School and owner of Freelancer Masterclass. He acts as a fractional CMO to help with companies a number of tasks, including creating a marketing department, train existing staff, help with strategy, or help them with processes and efficiency. As a marketing expert I wanted to pick his brain about how to market a new product, the difficulties of marketing, and he shares some awesome and super helpful tips to help you grow your marketing skills.

He took his knowledge of the Army to write a book about getting through bootcamp, which went on to be a bestseller. He then followed that up with four more books.

This week on the Project Freelance podcast I am chatting with my dear friend Alex Bortoluzzi who runs a brand called Krakatoa Underwear. This week we are chatting about building his brand and we dive back in time to when he first started creating video games illegally in a country under a military dictatorship. He went from having to take busses for 15 hours to get computer parts to working at Treyarch in Los Angeles. He worked on Draconus, The Adult of the Wyrm (Dreamcast), Spider-Man - The Movie Game, Spider-Man 2: The Movie Game, Call of Duty 2: Big Red One, Call of Duty 3, James Bond - Quantum of Solace, Transformers - Revenge of the Fallen, Zombie Wonderland, and Zombie Wonderland 2 - Outta Time. In this episode Alex talks about having to delete The World Trade Center from New York City in Spider-Man: The Movie game after September 11th, 2001, how Call of Duty ZOMBIES was created, and more.
