Johanna aka Jojo recently started Needs for Beads. She sells bracelets to help raise awareness for mental health and all proceeds collected are donated to Mental Health America. In just one week of starting this, Jojo was able to raise over $1,000 for Mental Health America. She has now raised over $2,500.

Schuyler Moore is the youngest Director of Science & Technology at the Pentagon. In 2013, she taught at a women's boarding school in Kabul, Afghanistan and continued to remotely tutor and mentor her students until 2018. Her experience in Kabul led to her passion for national security. She is also on the Board of Directors of Young Professionals in Foreign Policy, which now has over 20,000 members. On the other side of the spectrum, Schuyler is a part of a hip hop dance crew who has won championships on the East Coast. Schuyler is truly an inspiration and a brilliant example of a well-rounded over-achiever.

This week on project grownup we are discussing the pros and cons of getting a pet and some important things to consider before taking that leap. Whether you want to buy a naked cat, a snake, a dog or a monkey, there are some questions that need to be asked and some planning that needs to be done.

She opened her first gallery at the age of 23 and has since changed the way artists thrive with their work by founding MTArt Agency in 2015. MTArt Agency is the first talent agency for visual artists worldwide, it focuses on building up the artists behind the work; they don’t invest in Art, they invest in artists. Marine has also been recognized for being named to Forbes 2018 30 under 30 Europe: Art & Culture and UK entrepreneur of the year for the 2019 NatWest Everywoman Awards. On top of that, she has also completed two TedX talks on how social media affects our minds and how artists can transform cities.

Hunter Cauley overcame a difficult childhood and then battled cancer as a teenager, but she has pushed through and is building her own success one day at a time. Hunter talks to us about the various challenges she has faced and how she managed to find the strength to push through them. We also touch on where Hunter is now and the incredible business she is building for herself at such a young age. Prepare to be inspired and keep the tissue box close. 

 

Hunter explained it best when she said, "My story is of perseverance. It's about victory in the face of trials and tribulations. I want to show folks that reality is rarely ever what's directly in front of you, but more so what you do with what is in front of you. Whether you get the worst hand in the deck or not is immaterial."
