We also introduce a first for the show with an on-air gift exchange!

We’ll be taking a short break to recharge for the holidays, but when we return in the new year, we’re kicking off Season 3 with a fresh slate of films.

It’s been an incredible year, and we’re so grateful for everyone who’s stuck with us, or discovered us.

Every Time a Bell Rings, Late Stage Capitalism Wins

This week on Projected Hues, Jessica, Brad, and I continue our Season’s Greetings & Grievances spiral; fitting for a year, and the next, that have gone full Pottersville with no exit in sight!

We’re kicking off the winter holidays with my favorite seasonal film, It’s a Wonderful Life (1946), which celebrates its 80th year! A perfect moment to revisit (or rethink) a classic that’s shaped generations of holiday storytelling.

We’ll close out 2025 with The Ref (1994).

This week, Jessica and I venture into the dream-scoured deserts and fractured psyche of Phantasm IV: Oblivion, though unfortunately, Brad was unable to join us for this episode.

In this entry, we also discover a touching local connection: the real Reggie Bannister actually resides right here in our mountain area of California. He is currently in hospice care, so we’re sending him chrome wishes and heartfelt thanks for the joy and grit he’s brought to this series and its fans. May he find peace and light on his final journey before heading to a reunion with the Tall Man.
