The bible says that when people heard that he was in town their response was "isn't this the carpenter's son?"... but just how influential is the faith and expectation of a person before they encounter us?

There are many spiritual connotations about the truth hidden behind this story in the bible, but in this episode we discuss how possible it is for us to grow overly familiar with those people who are otherwise respected and honored in our lives.

Could it be that there's a certain kind of jaded heart that is born in feeling overly familiar with a person? Just how destructive and limiting can be the thought that a person can't produce more than what we allow them to be capable of in our minds? Are there friendships that have driven us to a point of dishonor and contempt that cause us to view people with hopelessness and cynicism? Who exactly have we covered under the blanket of such unbelief? Our spouse? Our children? Our Parents? Our friends?

We invite you to be self-reflective and repent if necessary. Our prayer is that God would help us see people, no matter how close, with the eyes of the Father.
