From Promise, to nightmare, to purpose, Megan shares with us the unexpected turn of events that brought her to be on ground zero of the terrorist attack of October 7th which began the current war between Israel and Hamas.

After a traumatic yet purpose-filled experience, Megan recounts the feelings and anecdotes of walking out the terroist attacks. Share shares with us what it felt like to be in Israel while all of the chaos and confusion was taking place, and how at one point she felt like the text from her family and friends could have been the last text she'd ever see.

their families and children to wear as their hearts broke.

In today's episode we discuss the ins and the outs of the timing and preparation a person's call to serve God requires.

We bring our perspectives as previous church staff members, brothers, christians, and followers of Jesus to ponder on the characteristics that makes a believer "qualified" to begin their leadership ministry.

There is plenty of direction in the books of Timothy when it comes to church leaders, elders, deacons, and organizational structure for the church. One could say that church structure is covered and that the qualifications are already listed for us to follow.

This is important because it is often the case that the church bypasses the qualifications listed in the bible before leaders are set in place, and the church therefore suffers from hurt and division.

But there's also something to say about the less obvious calls in life that most people carry out in their places of business, vocations, and other non-church related endeavors.

Why exactly does God see fit that the things He has promised us should take longer than we desire or expect? Is it to tease us? Is God perhaps autonomously entertaining Himself with our frustration in our impatience? Is He using His omnipotence to mock us with sadistic games? Or is He simply preparing us because He knows what we can handle and what is best?

So much rides on our understanding of the heart of God and His intentions. Megan , our sister knows this to be true and has experienced what it is like to go through valleys and mountains while discovering what God's plan for her life has been.

The most encouraging attribute of Megan is her bravery to encounter things that might mark her. Perhaps it is her past struggles that have shown her that life is not a battle in which we fight to keep ourselves as safe as possible, but maybe that our purpose is to walk on the earth enduring and therefore being perfected in the love of God.

Megan is nothing less than an inspiration to us. We are so blessed to walk this Jesus journey with her by our side and we are proud to call her a sister in Christ.Thank you for listening!

For this special Thanksgiving episode we have an opportunity to talk about gratefulness, desiring what we don't have, and being thankful for the things that we might not have forever.

Gratefulness is profoundly influential attribute in the experience and mentality of a believer. Gratefulness and grumbling don't usually cohabitate. Thankfulness and coveting have a hard time existing together.

Truly, the endeavor of remaining grateful is a journey of daily renewal of the mind and daily refocusing in Christ.

We wanted to record this episode so that you would have an opportunity to ponder gratefulness with us and thus enjoy this Thanksgiving in a much more intentional way.

This week we have the privilege of hosting and interviewing Real Estate expert, Ken Dojka.Ken is a well-known business owner in the community around the Tampa area who has had a unique experience with Jesus and family.

Ken was first married as he was away from the Lord, and walked through the pain, tension, and destruction that take place when you are disconnected from life(Jesus).

By the grace of God, Ken met Christ and began a journey of being reborn in Jesus. Like many Christians, Ken used to be a man he no longer recognizes.

As a part of his unique experience, Ken has been remarried and has experienced the blessings, difficulties and nuances of having a blended family. Ken observes and trusts in God's redemption daily for his family and for his personal life.

This episode was first planned out to bring hope and faith to those of you watching who are dealing with the complexities of blended families; bringing kids from previous marriages, developing trust between step children and step parents, navigating the tension of multiple parents involved, etc. After talking to Ken we truly believe that such a feat is impossible without God, but with God ALL THINGS are possible.
