Susan Kokinda analyzes Scott Bessent’s remarks to Larry Kudlow about tracking IRGC assets, focusing on offshore hubs like the British Virgin Islands and the broader British-linked financial architecture behind shell companies, alongside Treasury’s campaign warning 60 entities to clean up, with Hong Kong a major target. She argues this financial offensive is part of a strategic realignment away from imperial “choke points,” echoed by Doug Burgum’s call to shift global energy focus toward the Western Hemisphere. In the Middle East, she highlights lifted U.S. sanctions on Syria, the formation of the Mecca Joint Defense Alliance (Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Pakistan), and Trump’s “Board of Peace,” under which Hamas has agreed to disarm. She also covers G20 tensions over inviting Russia’s finance minister, Bessent’s meeting with him, and Bessent’s claim of shared U.S.-China goals on Iran.

In this Monday brief, Barbara Boyd previews the G20 meeting in Asheville, framing it as a clash between an agenda centered on physical economic growth—advanced by Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent—and what she calls the G20/EU’s long-running Malthusian, “green” framework that followed the 2008 financial collapse, bank bailouts, and a shift toward climate policies. The episode contrasts Trump-era priorities—domestic manufacturing, supply-chain self-sufficiency, critical minerals, energy expansion, workforce upskilling, and new nuclear plans for shipping outlined by Energy Secretary Chris Wright—with European leaders’ efforts to build a “middle powers” bloc and “redirect” citizens’ savings into EU-directed investment. Boyd argues EU priorities include Ukraine war funding, the green transition, and open borders/free trade, and says the outcome of this fight will shape the future ahead of the midterms.

Susan Kokinda frames a “larger war” behind a headline-filled week, focusing on three events: new Fed Chair Kevin Warsh’s Jackson Hole speech, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent’s “Operation Economic Outcast,” and President Trump’s Johnson Space Center remarks. She argues Warsh blamed 65 months of elevated inflation on the Fed and signaled an end to “forward guidance,” which she says benefits financial “high flyers” while harming Americans without financial assets. She highlights Bessent’s warning that immediately sanctioning Iran-linked money laundering could “blow up the global financial system,” portraying that system as dependent on illicit flows and oil control, and notes Treasury targets include entities in Hong Kong. She also cites Trump’s announcement of a major Venezuela oil deal and his directive creating a United States Space Academy, presented as rejecting a “Dark Age” of limits to growth and advancing exploration and freedom.

This week, CIA Director John Ratcliffe landed in Moscow on an unannounced C-17, and London's war on Trump just ran into a problem it can't spin. Mark Carney blew up the trade talks Friday night and called it a war. Same system. Same week. Barbara Boyd and Susan Kokinda take apart why Carney is terrified of the Moscow pivot: a U.S. Russia channel that cuts the plan to keep the war going.
Then, President Trump named the weapon at home. Monday on Truth Social he called the flood of fake polls "Demoralization Operations", designed to keep Republicans from voting. If the empire needs you home in November, the polls are the weapon. Susan connects it to the midterm map, ten weeks out.
And Carney's walkout isn't about tariffs. Canada cannot win a trade war with the country that takes 72% of its goods exports. Assange said the rupture was for the U.S. midterms. Susan showed the strike force: a Democratic operative running "United States Stakeholder Strategy," Freeland's donut strategy, Joly touring "mostly Democrats." That's Operation Economic Outcast, and it's aimed at you.
Plus: Jackson Hole this week, Xi on the September calendar, Abdul El-Sayed on Jesse Watters, and your questions. Bring what's on your mind. Barbara and Susan take them live.

Barbara Boyd argues that the most dangerous escalation is the proxy war with Russia, highlighting Russia’s warning that direct British involvement in strikes on Russian territory could make Britain a combatant. She says the UK has long driven the Ukraine conflict and that Trump has sought peace while Britain and Europe resist, relying on war production amid failing economies. The episode focuses on Canada’s Mark Carney as a key spokesman for a permanent-warfare economic strategy, detailing his global financial roles and Canada’s creation of a Defense Security and Resilience Bank to fund defense mobilization without citizen involvement. Boyd also describes Carney’s actions against the U.S., including trade disputes, deeper EU alignment, and Arctic defense plans. She claims a coordinated “chaos” and “psychological warfare” campaign targets U.S. voters ahead of the midterms.

After Prime Minister Mark Carney abruptly pulled Canada out of U.S. trade talks and framed the dispute as a “war,” this episode argues the rupture isn’t really about tariffs but about political and financial strategy aimed at the U.S. midterm elections. Citing U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer’s account of negotiations and Canada’s unique retaliation, the script claims Carney is pursuing “geo-industrialization” and a “donut strategy” to go around the White House and influence American public opinion, aided by U.S.-connected advisers and outreach to mostly Democrats. It also highlights comments from Iran’s foreign minister about U.S. debt and links the broader conflict to competing economic systems. The episode concludes that Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is fighting a parallel battle to manage risks from the yen carry trade using tools like FIMA to prevent destabilizing Treasury selloffs.

10:21 Bessent's Real Target: The System Itself
As headlines warn of a $40 trillion U.S. debt and a “bond market explosion,” Barbara Boyd argues a manufactured financial panic is being used to attack President Trump ahead of the midterms. She spotlights Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent’s “discreet” plan, echoed by Vice President JD Vance, to get economic growth to outpace debt by directing credit into productive investment rather than speculation or consumer handouts. Boyd frames the approach as an updated Alexander Hamilton model: sovereign credit for infrastructure, technology, and industry to expand real output and contain inflation, while curbing Wall Street and Fed-driven speculation. She cites Bessent’s focus on domestic production and supply chains and highlights executive-order priorities including advanced manufacturing, nuclear and fusion power, a Moon colony by 2028, and breakthrough science. The episode also features Vance’s critique of free-trade policies, “deaths of despair,” and a $1B Cleveland-Cliffs investment in Middletown, Ohio.

This week, the Middle East is coming together, and the media is lying about all of it. Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan signed the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement, and President Trump cheered it: "A BIG, BOLD, AND IMPORTANT FIRST STEP. WOW!" For fifty years, the Kissinger doctrine kept the region divided, dependent, and at war. Now sovereign nations are underwriting their own security, and Washington is applauding. Susan Kokinda connects it to Trump's other move: ordering the Pentagon to wind down the Korea war games, hours before 18,000 troops were set to drill.
Then, Gaza, Iran, and the Oman question. The 60-day deadline expired Sunday and the media declared failure, but Kushner is pressing Netanyahu on the peace plan, Hamas disarmament is on the table, and the administration has a direct backchannel to Tehran. Barbara Boyd takes on Trump's bluntest threat of the week: why Oman? What is London's actual stronghold in the Strait of Hormuz game, and why is the threat aimed at the empire, not the peace?
And the psywar at home. Sailors "breaking" on the USS Lincoln. A vice president "unfit", for negotiating peace. Socialists "marching" through Tuesday's primaries. Three stories, one author, and the carrier story is already blowing back on its creators.
Plus: Tuesday's election results, the "Never Vance" operation, and your questions. Bring what's on your mind. Barbara and Susan take them live.
