Prophecy Watchers

1 John 3 focuses on the identity of the Christian, as John encourages Jesus' followers to practice living as Jesus did when He walked the earth. God's children are known for the love they display towards others. There is an ages-long battle between good and evil going on around us, and John reminds us that the battle we fight is ultimately won through the love God shows us, and the love we demonstrate towards others by God's grace.

Jesus called the Apostle John his beloved disciple. This eloquent fisherman from Galilee was chosen to take a series of important messages to the world in both His Gospel and his 3 epistles. John spoke about Jesus, the Light of the World, and the never ending battle with sin that we face as believers. Sin separates us from fellowship with God, but John tells us we have an advocate with the Father. In Jesus we find the Light. In Satan we find only darkness. How should a believer view the sin in his life and how are we restored to fellowship and a right relationship with God?

Gary concludes his study in Ephesians. Paul’s exhortation in chapter 6 is the most vivid portrayal of the Christian spiritual struggle, in a metaphor of warfare, with a detailed list of equipment of the Divine Warrior. What a timely message!

Have you put on the New Man yet? Or does the Old Man still cause you problems? Gary dives deep into the words of the Apostle Paul in Ephesians 4 and examines God's plan for the Church, His masterpiece. We're all far from perfection, but God does have a plan. There's a resurrection trumpet coming and a new sinless body awaits. As America follows the destructive path of the ancient Roman Empire and heads towards a complete path of moral collapse and lawlessness, we need to remember that we are the building materials of God's masterpiece. Gary shows us how we can experience a renewing of our minds and make a difference for Christ.
