On this week's show we decided to bring your attention to a 2025 NHL Draft Eligible Prospect that goes by the name Shamar Moses who plays for the North Bay Battalion of the OHL.


Getting Familiar: 
Now for those of you that aren't familiar with Shamar's game let me catch you up. Moses is a 6'1 210-pound power forward that has absolutely come alive since being traded in-season to the North Bay Battalion scoring 10 goals and 25 assists for 35 points in 36 games played.He's managed to do accomplish all of this using his ever-improving skating ability, great shot and physical play. And it's these attributes that he gained from having a relentless work ethic that was driven by a strong desire to overcome all odds that were stacked up against him, that has gained him some much-deserved attention from NHL scouts recently.

Seeing that we are being joined by none other than a Mr. Jackson Smith of the 
WHL's Tri-City Americans.  Jackson how are you and thank you so much for joining us today.
 
Getting Familiar: 
Now for those of you who may not watch a lot of Junior Hockey. Let me inform you Jackson, who is 6'3 and 190 pounds, is one of the best young blue-liners coming out of this draft class. And, that's largely due to the fact that he can skate better than most forwards we've interviewed this year. No, I'm not kidding. On top of the fact that Jackson is in my mind one of maybe two shutdown defenders that will be available in this draft class. When he does gain back possession of the puck he acts as if he is a one man breakout. For example it's not uncommon to see Jackson bring the puck out from behind his own net and skate by the opposition as if they are standing still to the point he winds up deep in his team's offensive zone (untouched mind you) only to allow his opponents to catch up and advance towards him so he can dish off the puck to an awaiting teammate for the goal.

On this week's episode we are joined by a 6'6 201 pound towering defender that goes by the name Jacob Rombach who currently plays for the USHL's Lincoln Stars.


Getting Familiar: Now, if you are not familiar with Jacob that's because he is not one of today's over publicized offensive defensemen that everybody seems to covet. Get this he's a defenseman who actually focuses on playing defense first and then only then if he has done his job in his own end, will he then try to help out offensively by providing a nice outlet pass that hits one of his wingers in full stride to create a scoring chance. Lucky for him there's still some scouts/teams out there that actually value a traditional defenseman because I've noticed Jacob's name moving up certain draft boards here lately.

Getting Familiar: 
Now for those of you that for some reason haven't heard or ever had the 
pleasure of watching Carter play, let me tell you your in for a treat because this young man right here I believe is one of the most underrated players in this upcoming summers draft class. And, I don't know why considering the fact that already this season Bear has been able to score a 16 goals and 16 assists for a total of 32 points in only 19 games played. Folks, if you're not that quick with math that means he is operating on a 1.68 points-per-game pace right now. Which also means that he is currently projected to finish the season scoring 57 goals and 57 assists for a massive 114 points!

Well, Steel I have to tell you I am excited because tonight we have joining us THE best goalie in the BCHL right now. And that would be a Mr. Johnny Hicks. 


Getting Familiar: Now, for those of you that may not be familiar with Johnny let me fill you in. He his a 19 year old goaltender that came to the Brooks Bandits at the start of last season. Where during the course of the year the Bandits made a transition from the AJHL where to that point he had played 30 games while being able to record 7 shutouts and compile 26 wins all while maintaining a GOALS-AGAINST-AVERAGE of 1.98 and a .909SV%. Then after the team transferred to the BCHL mid-season Johnny was able to continue on with his success by winning another 7 games in 8 starts.

Getting Familiar: For those of you that may not have heard about Daniel, I assure you, you soon will. Because this young forward is currently taking the United States Hockey League by storm. Scoring 5 goals and 6 assists for 11 points in only 9 games played this season. The reason for this is he is able to process the game at a rate so fast that before most players can react, he is already two steps ahead of them and on his way to the net.
