This Week's guest is none other than the 6'1 198 pound defenseman Kashawn Aitcheson from the OHL's Barrie Colts.


Getting Familiar: Now for those of you who may not be familiar with Kashawn game. Shame on you! Because if you are anything like me, and like that old school Physical brand of hockey, you know "when men were REALLY MEN". Then you're going to LOVE this GRITTY Young defenseman that's sitting on with us today. Because this young man right here plays the game the way it was supposed to be played. He is a defenseman who actually plays defense! That's a rarity now a days guys. He's a guy that happily finishes each and every check in an effort to wear down the competition, and I know that because when he skates away from the player, he just laid out on the ice he's got a smile on his face. Here's a concept- He'll clear the front of the net so the goalie can see the shot that is being taken. And, perhaps my favorite trait of his is that on more than one occasion (maybe more than one time in a single night) he's been known to hold guys accountable for their actions. by resorting to a little rock'em sock'em robots with a guy that maybe laid a dirty hit one of his teammates.

This week's special guest is right hand shot defender Anthony Cristoforo from the Windsor Spitfires of the OHL.


Getting Familiar: Now, for those of you who are unfamiliar with Anthony and his game let me inform you that this young man right here is a player that is already surprising a lot of people this season with his play. Scoring 2 goals and 7 assists for 9 points in just 7 games played. Now, while I understand it's still early in the season to put that into perspective Anthony (a defenseman mind you) is scoring at a rate of 1.28 points-per-game right now and is currently on pace to score 87 points on the season! And if that didn't just make you sit up and pay attention, I don't know what will.

This Week's guest is none other than the 17-year-old Ben Kevan from the Des Moines Buccaneers of the USHL.


Getting Familiar: 
Ben managed to best all other Rookies in Total Points with 57, but he also finished 2nd amongst Rookies in the league in goal scoring, netting 24 lamp lighters on the year. Which of course led to him undoubtedly being named to the All-USHL Rookie First Team.

Getting Familiar:
Malcolm is a 6'2 201-pound winger whose speed, size and strength helped him to tally 19 goals and 43 assists for 62 points in only 66 games played last year. Spence grew a fondness for GOLD, as he was able to bring home Gold Medals at both the Hlinka Gretzky Cup and the U-18 World Junior Championships.

Getting Familiar: Now for those of you that aren't familiar with Luca or his game.  He is a very underrated center who plays for the OHL's Kitchener Rangers where last season as a 16-year-old he was able to score 10 goals and 2 assists for a total of 22 points in 56 games played. But like Team Canada must have seen as well, I think Romano is set to have a breakout 
season this year with it being his draft year.

Getting Familiar: Now, for those of you that aren't familiar with Josh or his game. Let me tell you. This young guardian of the blue paint is one of, if not the best available net minders in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft.
Last season Josh, a 6'4 and 181-pound goalie whose butterfly style allows him to be able to take the bottom of the net away was able to compile a record of 26 wins 4 losses 1 tie in just 38 games played.

Braiden currently playing for the National Champion Award Winning Mount Mt. St. Charles Academy 14U AAA Team.  A New Jersey native, has a High Hockey IQ that allows him to create highlight reel plays that result in him piling up an absurd number of points as made evident by this year's totals of 59 goals and 78 assists for 137 points in only 64 games played. Which if you do the math averages out to him scoring over two points per game!

Let me fill you in with a little segment we here at Prospect Watch like to call Getting Familiar:
This past season while playing for the Toronto Marlboros Adam ended up finishing the season as the highest scoring 16-year-old in all Canadian AAA hockey. Posting an incredible 52 goals and 82 assists for 134 points in only 57 games played.

Folks that means he averaged 1.35 goals per game, and 2.65 points per game this past season while playing against teams that have been highly regarded as prospect factories. Like Shattuck St. Mary's, the BK Selects, Pens Elite, and Mid Fairfield.
