People have long wondered, is God a god who is out to bless or curse? On one hand, the prophets warn us that a holy God interacting with sinful people will always spell disaster. On the other hand, God continually describes himself as a God who is unequivocally out to bless. What are we to believe about God’s character and true intentions for people, especially in light of some of the harsher passages of Scripture?
