We have ourselves some fascinating topics today: Sharks and the deep sea! I am joined by the DoE’s Shark Project Officer and Heriot-Watt University PhD Student Johanna Kohler! Johanna has been working with the DoE assessing shark abundance and behaviour here in the Cayman Islands, and has also been working with other amazing organisations currently conducting fascinating deep sea research off the shores of our islands. Have a listen, but be prepared to become as obsessed with sharks as Johanna is!
To learn more about sharks and the deep sea project, you can follow the DoE and Johanna on instagram @doecayman and @johannakohler. If you see any suspicious goings on related to sharks on our Islands, make sure you call the chief DoE enforcement officer at 916-4271.
