Let's talk innovation and electrification with Dick Stoppelenburg, General Manager and Owner of eL-Tec Elektrotrechniek.
eL-Tec Elektrotechniek is a specialist in electrical engineering with the guts to innovate. I think that's on the account of Dick. I've got to know him as one of the most innovative maritime entrepreneurs in our industry. Always open to support new initiatives and not afraid to experiment.
They take part in a number of inspiring projects, including the Interceptor from The Ocean Cleanup, the Ventifoil from Econowind and the Autonomous Guard Vessel with a consortium of LISA Members.
We could't have selected a better time to meet-up, since it was just announced that Dick sold his company..... Listen, learn and enjoy!

Over the years, Marjan has helped hundreds of Dutch companies to connect with potential clients and partners in Asia, from India to China, Korea and Japan, and almost every country in South-East Asia.
As a former F&B Manager at Hilton and NH Hotels, it was her father who interested her to join Netherlands Maritime Technology (NMT), at that time named Holland Marine Equipment. Sixteen years later, she is still connecting maritime companies between West and East on a daily basis, even during Covid.

This is a fascinating company and Machiel 't Hoen really delivered on my expectations for this session. Machiel is founder of MSA-Service and since 2006, he and his team have executed some amazing projects. A technical 'no nonsense' company where quality and ingenuity go hand in hand. Maybe that's why MSA-Service has high profile clients around the world.

It's time to meet with Willem Keesom, Captain at Van Wijngaarden Marine Services. We planned to have this conversion when he was onboard the Lingestroom, but due to bad weather we missed an opportunity to sit down. So we call him while he is on leave.
Willem started his career at 17, sailing seagoing tugs for towage operations and anchor handling. He climbed the ranks to become captain at the age of 23. Twenty years in his career, he recently joined Van Wijngaarden Marine Services.
Van Wijngaarden Marine Services offers towing services, transport, anchor handling and survey activities. They have a fleet of 16 ships for deep-sea, coastal and inland waters. They assist worldwide at dredging and a variety of offshore projects. In addition to that they execute towing trips. They support with the construction and maintenance of offshore and renewables projects, like windfarms at sea. Other services are geotechnical activities and seabed levelling in harbours and fairways.
Enough to talk about and plenty takeaways from this session. Please enjoy!
