This podcast is a recording of one of our LCC Summer Sessions - Raising Kids with a Biblical Worldview (Kelsie Koch). Recent studies have shown that only 6% of Americans who claim to be Christians actually hold to a biblical worldview. How do we make sure our kids are among those who hold to biblical truth in a world that no longer values that truth? In this Summer Session class, we'll talk about and share resources to help parents shape the way their kids can view the world—through the lens of God's word.

In this chapter, Andy and Trey discuss the practical qualifications that Paul presents for leaders in the church. One of the best deterrents to bad leadership and false teaching is the vetting of those who seek to serve in this capacity.

Trey and Daniel continue to unpack Paul’s first letter to Timothy. In chapter 2, Paul addresses proper worship for believers which begins with an attitude of humility exemplified through our prayers and good works. Paul gives specific instructions to men and women on how to honor God by embracing the unique calls he has given to each of us.

In this episode, we discuss a modern-day example of false teaching. The ideas of Progressive Christianity have led many believers and churches to turn away from sound doctrine and the essential truths of the Gospel. In this conversation, we discuss some ways to identify the main tenants of Progressive Christianity and how they can take hold.

We’re back! Andy and Daniel kick off our study of our next book - 1 Timothy. In this opening chapter, Paul warns Timothy about wayward teachers who have come up from within the church. Paul encourages Timothy to stay in Ephesus to contend with this newfound threat and begins to set the stage for ways to resolve the issue moving forward to ensure the church in Ephesus stays faithful to the Gospel.

In these final chapters John gives an account of some of the encounters Jesus had with his disciples and others after his Resurrection. In the last chapter, Jesus shares a special moment in which he reinstates Peter after his previous denial.

In fulfilling his ultimate purpose on earth, Jesus is tried, condemned and executed on a Roman cross. All of this takes place in less than 24 hours as the Passover Festival begins in Jerusalem.

Jesus finishes his farewell address by sharing more about the role of the coming Holy Spirit. He concludes by praying for his disciples and for all those that would come to believe in him through their testimony.

In these chapters, Jesus begins his farewell address to his disciples to prepare them for what to expect when he leaves. Amidst the encouragement and pleas to cling to true obedience, he assures them that they will not be left alone.
