In Luke 9:57-62, Jesus confronts three people who want to follow him, but aren't sure about what it will cost. Jesus wastes no time in spelling it out for them. Jesus said some radical things, but none more radical than what he said in Luke 9:23-25, "And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it. For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses or forfeits himself?" He's basically telling his followers that the cost of following him is death! Do you live like you "take up your electric chair" every day?

We close out our Power Unleashed mini-series today with a question: Now that we've seen Jesus' power, how do we respond? Do you respond like Peter did? "Then he said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” And Peter answered, “The Christ of God.”

Jesse Cragwall, our Director of Discipleship and Missions, continues in our Power Unleashed mini-series today. We've spent the last few weeks looking at the different ways Jesus displayed his power. So what does that have to do with us? Can we access that power? Jesus gave power to the apostles, but does he give it to us? And if so, what for?
