We conclude our miniseries, Out of the Box, by hearing from teams and individuals that have been on mission around the world.

When we began our new miniseries last week, Student Minister Chase Phillips helped us to define "worship" as the "response to what we value most." This week, our Missions and Church Planting Minister, Matt Giles, continues the series by exploring how 'being on mission' — in your neighborhood or across the world — plays a key role in that response.

We’re wrapping up our series in Acts by taking a look at Paul’s final journey. What will you take away from this message, this series? What will be your acts?

God uses circumstances and authorities even when they’re unjust and there’s a question you should ask yourself when you’re confronted with these things. “Will I be angry, be a victim, or be victorious?” Don’t let these things distract you from sharing the gospel.

Paul finally meets with Felix, a Roman official and governor, only to have his verdict postponed. A few days later, Paul is summoned by Felix and his wife where he is invited to share the gospel. Paul chooses to give a sermon on righteousness, self-control, and future judgement. Why did Paul, given only one sermon to preach, choose these three points as a sermon outline?

Paul goes to Jerusalem, despite others warning against it, willing to die for the mission of Christ. After his arrest, Paul addresses an angry mob telling of his life before Jesus and his call to proclaim the gospel. The result: calls for his death and a hearing by the Jewish Council.

With the Holy Spirit leading Paul to Jerusalem, Paul calls the Ephesian elders to come to him. This week, teaching Pastor Chad Sparks will show us the important message Paul has for the church elders of Ephesus and what it has to do with us.
