Paul, spreading the gospel throughout Ephesus, proves to be bad for business. Demetrius, a man whose livelihood revolves around the widespread worship of the Greek goddess Artemis, incites a riot.

A family of traveling Jewish exorcists encounters a man possessed by an evil spirit. Using the name of Jesus as a sort of magic incantation, they attempt to cast out the spirit. Listen as we discover what happens next.

Paul returns to Ephesus where he finds a group of new disciples and senses something is amiss. These believers had neither heard of baptism in the name of Jesus nor had they received the Holy Spirit. When do believers receive the Holy Spirit? What does baptism have to do with it, if anything?

Paul exits the story in Ephesus as Luke introduces us to Apollos. Preaching boldly and fearlessly in the Ephesus synagogue, Apollos offers an accurate yet incomplete gospel. Paul’s companions step up to share with him the gaps in his knowledge of the life of Jesus.

Paul arrives in Corinth where he lands a day job tentmaking while continuing to reason with the Jews and Greeks about Jesus. After getting a lot of attitude time and again from his fellow Jews, Paul decides to focus solely on the Gentiles. That’s when Jesus himself has something to say about it.

While awaiting the arrival of his brothers in Athens, Paul begins sharing the gospel within the market place and synagogue. Although disturbed by the ever-present idols looming throughout the city, Paul engages the culture, taking advantage of an altar to an "unknown god" to make the true God of the universe known.

Upon arriving in a Jewish community in the city of Berea, Paul and Silas find themselves in the most ideal of environments for sharing the Gospel. The Jews there are hungry for God's word, are searching the scriptures daily to validate the truth of Jesus, and are receiving the good news with noble-minded eagerness and zeal. We have a clear takeaway here: be a Berean!
