In the Old Testament it was God among Israel — to whom very few had access. In the 33 years covered by the Gospels we had God with us in the form of Jesus, God in the flesh, as he walked and talked and preached and healed and ultimately died and rose. From Pentecost until today we have God in us, in the form of the Holy Spirit, and that has huge implications for all of us! Listen as Chad discusses the arrival of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost and how we can seek out the Holy Spirit for counsel, comfort, control (over sin), and so much more.

Jesus says that we will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon us and, with that power, we'll be able to be "witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:6.) As we journey along in the book of Acts, you'll see how the first leg of this great race was run, how numerous people have been saved, and how the world was turned upside down. You’ll also see the purity and passion of the early church as well as a clear picture of their love for God — and you'll see that it's our turn now. This week, our teaching pastor, Chad Sparks, concludes our study of Dr. Robert Coleman's book, "The Master Plan of Evangelism." Throughout the series, we've heard about a pretty simple set of steps that we can follow to make, grow, and unleash disciples of Christ. Listen as Chad emphasizes how we can follow Jesus' example by encouraging intentional relationships — while also creating the environments in which we can do so.

As Dr. Coleman states in the last chapter of his book, The Master Plan of Evangelism, "Jesus intended for the disciples to produce His likeness in and through the Church." This week, listen as Stacey Bearden, our executive minister, explores the ways in which this church body has been witness to amazing examples of the discipleship process over the past few years. Along the way, ask yourself a few questions — namely, "are you reproducing yourself" by discipling others?

This week, our student minister, Chase Phillips, takes us through the eighth part of The Master Plan: supervision. As you demonstrate and as you delegate (both of which we've covered in the last two weeks, respectively), you need to be following up in the form of supervision — to keep disciples humble and encouraged.

This week, our worship leader, Bryan McKaig, takes us through the seventh part of The Master Plan: delegation. Bryan details how we can enable others to live for Christ — by giving them work to do, preparing them to do it, and actually letting them do it.

This week, our student minister, Chase Phillips, takes us through the sixth part of The Master Plan: demonstration. Chase has a simple but relevant message for us — specifically that people aren’t looking for an explanation of Christ; they’re looking to see how we demonstrate Christ’s love. If you demonstrate well, Chase offers, then those same people will then ask for an explanation.

This week, Providence Elder Jesse Cragwall takes us through the fifth part of The Master Plan: Impartation. Listen as Jesse walks us through a theme we encounter not only in Scripture — in verses like Acts 1:8 — but all throughout our lives: a Spirit-led life gives.
