THE SOCIAL WORK RANTS PODCAST

Providing Therapeutic services to adolescents virtually

Listen Later

I’Asiah Sabriyah, LMSW is a licensed social worker in Georgia providing individual therapy to adolescents and adults. She discusses some of her struggles providing therapy. (Zoom fatigue is real). I’Asiah provides tips to better engage kids virtually. She is originally from NYC and discusses her transition to now living in Georgia. We discuss her past work at Fordham University Liberty Partnership Program. We also discuss the unfortunate trend in our profession of agencies preferring hiring someone with an LCSW (While we both have LMSWs). We also talk about our upcoming poetry books, divorce, grief, loss, having better bereavement leave policies in Social Work agencies. She can be found on Instagram @peaceandpreparation. My book Triumph Through Pain, How To Maximize Your full Potential during down times is coming out soon. Follow @bascityentertainmentllc on Instagram for more information.
