  • A God That Could Be Real with Nancy Ellen Abrams
What happens when an atheist philosopher of science with an eating disorder joins a twelve-step program and is asked to call on a “higher power” that she doesn’t believe in to help her recover? It works, leaving her asking why – and inspiring the inquiry of a lifetime. Nancy Ellen Abrams’ personal experience of a higher power coincided with her front-row seat to some of the greatest astronomical discoveries of all time. Her husband, renowned physicist and cosmologist Joel Primack, helped create the modern theory of the universe, based on dark matter and dark energy. So she sought a higher power that could be plausible in the new picture of the universe, which is still being discovered.
Nancy Ellen Abrams was a Fulbright scholar and Woodrow Wilson Designate who graduated from the University of Chicago with a degree in the History and Philosophy of Science, and earned a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School.
She has worked for the International Juridical Association in Rome, a European environmental law think tank; the Ford Foundation; the Office of Technology Assessment of the U.S. Congress, and as a lecturer at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
Nancy and her husband Joel Primack, distinguished professor of physics and astrophysics at the University of California, have co-authored two books exploring the explosive human potential of a shared cosmic creation story: The View from the Center of the Universe and The New Universe and the Human Future.

  • The Spiritual Brain: A Neuroscientist’s Case for the Existence of the Soul with Dr. Mario Beauregard
Do religious experiences come from God, or are they merely the random firing of neurons in the brain? Drawing on his own research with Carmelite nuns, neuroscientist Mario Beauregard shows that genuine, life-changing spiritual events can be documented. He offers compelling evidence that religious experiences have a nonmaterial origin.
Mario Beauregard, PhD., is a neuroscientist currently affiliated with the Department of Psychology, University of Arizona. He has received a bachelor degree in psychology and a doctorate degree in neuroscience from the University of Montreal. He has also underwent postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Texas Medical School (Houston) and the Montreal Neurological Institute (MNI), McGill University.
Dr. Beauregard is the author of more than 100 publications (articles, essays, book chapters) in neuroscience, psychology, and psychiatry. He was the first neuroscientist to use neuroimaging to investigate the neural underpinnings of voluntary control in relation to emotion. Because of his research into the neuroscience of consciousness, he was selected (2000) by the World Media Net to be one of the “One Hundred Pioneers of the 21st Century.” In addition, his groundbreaking research on the neurobiology of spiritual experiences has received international media coverage, and a documentary film has been produced about his work (The Mystical Brain, 2007).

  • Beyond Me with Frank Huguenard
Frank Huguenard is a scientist, a spiritual anthropologist, a humanitarian and a documentary film maker. His life took a dramatic turn 15 years ago when, four years prior to anyone ever hearing about either Skype or Youtube, he invented a product that did both. Instead of accolades, he was fired for it by a management who thought it was a useless idea and a waste of company resources.
This coincided at a time in his life that had him driving back and forth to the hospital for his partners various chemotherapy, radiation, surgery appointments while was losing her battle with breast cancer. Within a few short months, he lost seemingly everything.
This upheaval sent him spiraling into a fundamental search for the Truth of nature and the end result is a series of documentary films on science, consciousness and the human condition.

  • The End of Materialism with Charles T. Tart
Charles T. Tart is internationally known for his more than 50 years of research on the nature of consciousness, altered states of consciousness (ASCs) and parapsychology, and is one of the founders of the field of Transpersonal (spiritual) Psychology. His work convinced him that there is a real important sense in which we are spiritual beings, but the too dominant materialist philosophy of our times, masquerading as genuine science, denies any possible reality to the spiritual.
Dr. Tart was born in 1937 and grew up in Trenton, New Jersey. He was active in ham radio (K2CFP), worked as a radio engineer (First Class Radiotelephone License) while still a teenager, and studied electrical engineering at MIT before deciding to become a psychologist. He received his Ph.D. in psychology, with research on influencing night time dreams by posthypnotic suggestions, from the University of North Carolina in 1963, and then received postdoctoral training in hypnosis research at Stanford.
He is an Emeritus Professor, Core Faculty Member at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology (Palo Alto,California) (a unique Ph.D. granting institution that believes you should educate a person’s body, spirit and emotions as well as their talking mind!) and Professor Emeritus of Psychology at the Davis campus of the University of California. He consulted on the original remote viewing research at Stanford Research Institute, where some of his work was important in influencing government policy makers against the deployment of the multi-billion dollar MX missile system.
His most recent book, The End of Materialism: How Evidence of the Paranormal is Bringing Science and Spirit Together (2009), overviews his half century of research in parapsychology and shows that, as too many believe, it is not the case that science has somehow proven that all spirituality is nonsense. Rather it is reasonable, indeed necessary, to be both scientific and spiritual in one’s approach to life.. He has had more than 250 articles published in professional journals and books, including lead articles in such prestigious scientific journals as Science and Nature.

  • Top Brain Bottom Brain with Stephen M. Kosslyn, Ph.D.
Stephen M. Kosslyn is Founding Dean of the Minerva Schools at the Keck Graduate Institute and he argues, “Forget left brain/right brain, it’s really all about top brain/bottom brain”. Kosslyn was Director of the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University and chair of the Department of Psychology, Dean of Social Science, and John Lindsley Professor in Memory of William James at Harvard.
Dr. Kosslyn has been elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He has received three honorary doctorates, a Guggenheim Fellowship, and the National Academy of Sciences Initiatives in Research Award. He has published more than 300 scientific papers and 14 books. His most recent Top Brain/Bottom Brain (with G.W. Miller), posits a new theory of cognitive modes — different thinking styles — that affect how we each approach the world and our interactions with others.

  • Toward the Light: Rescuing Spirits, Trapped Souls, and Earthbound Ghosts with Amy Major
Stories of ghosts and hauntings have frightened us since the beginning of time. Until recently, few have dared to contact the deceased and discover the true nature of earthbound spirits and the phenomena they create. Our understanding of the afterlife has evolved, and with it the reality that ghosts are just like us, facing many of the same problems we face every day. Spirit rescue mediums are “psychologists for the deceased,” helping them peacefully transition to the other side.
Amy Major is a Psychic, Empath and Medium who has helped many people with her abilities. At a young age she learned she had the ability to communicate with her spiritual and animal guides. Throughout childhood she developed Astral Projection, as well as the ability to see auras and energy surrounding people. In her early 20’s, Amy was told by her guides that she was able to communicate with spirits. While exploring her ability of Mediumship, she quickly learned that she had very strong Rescue Mediumship skills. Amy now dedicates her time to Rescue work and education people about Spirit Rescue.
Amy Major has been a successful Spirit Rescue Medium since 2002. Amy has studied and worked at the New Millennium Psychic Center in Derry, NH for many years and became the lead medium in the Psychic Ghostbusters Team which conducted many spirit investigations/rescues. She works alongside other mediums and Spirit Rescue specialists to help aid a Spirit in their transition to the “other side”.
