Yes, we are finally back after a long break and are ready to take on 2021! For this episode, we kick it off with a long rant on COVID and how one of us caught it. We talk about how stupid anti-maskers and anti-vaxxers are and finally we talk about generational differences and whether we really are getting old.

LGBTQIA+ is a topic that is sensitive in the Middle East, but we believe it is time to break the taboo and the stereotypes that come with it. People who identify as part of the community live among us, whether it's your doctor, your teacher or your friend. 

Today's special guest is Sarra from Tunisia who talks about her experience being lesbian in the Middle East, her coming out story, the fear of her family finding out, stereotypes she hopes to break, and her advice to those who are not out. 

It is a very courageous act to just be yourself, yet alone talk about being queer in the Middle East so we applaud her for being brave and hope it inspires others and give them hope about their future. Thank you Sarra!

Today's episode is on a topic that is not discussed enough and that is racism in the Middle East and North Africa region and the unfortunate racial bullying that comes with it. We spoke with Digital Abdullah, poet and photographer from Bahrain, who shared his experience being bullied for being Black in the Middle East and how he hopes his poetry and activism give young Black kids hope that the future is better. New week and a new episode! For today's special episode, we talk to Marc Tohme about his mother battling and beating breast cancer. To raise awareness for October's Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we thought it was only fit to share a person's experience with breast cancer. We talk to Marc about how his mom detected it early, went through chemotherapy, and turned her story into national awareness in the country.

Today's special guest is our dear friend Tala Shurrab from Palestine. She discusses her mental health journey and her realization of suffering from PTSD from experiencing wars in Gaza, Palestine. We also discuss mental health in the Middle East and the stigma surrounding it. Finally, we take a look at how Tala is using her knowledge and experience to help others with her own initiative on Instagram called @MentalHealthGaza.
