WHY is Jesus the reason for this season?? December 2 Episode

LUKE 2:  Jesus birth and early days.

Jesus is born in the humblest of circumstances in the middle of the night with only his mom and Joseph present.  BUT GOD had big big plans and made a heavenly ANNOUNCEMENT before the only ones probably awake at that moment, those shepherd watching their sheep.  They were awed and went and witnessed that indeed the Christ child has been born in a manger.  Those shepherds shared with anyone who would listen.  We learn of Jesus early days and all those who testified to who this child was.  And we see Jesus as a young one.  Yet although he was able to converse with the scholars in the temple He instead choose to be obedient to his parents.   Come and join us on the journey that changed everything!!

December ... Christmas ... Santa??  How do we make sense of all the hoopla??  A popular saying is “Jesus is the reason for the season."  And yet often the message gets lost in all the hurry and scurry of decorating, doing, buying, going, coming ... stress, stress, stress.  And for many a sense of loss or sadness that they cannot shake.   So this year, from today December 1 through December 24, what better way to HONOR our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHIRST than to spend a spot of time considering and reflection on Jesus’ life story ,,, from the inception, to his birth, life, ministry, teachings, his gift of dying in our place and being raised from the dead!!  That is the coolest most awesome part … JESUS LIVES!!  So today ... let's dive in.

What answers will the LORD speak into your life as we navigate through 150 chapters during the month of December.  Often we are rushing and pressed for time in the busy season ahead.  Lots of distractions are floating about, luring you away from the One relationship that has Eternal value.  Do not delay to seek Him while He can still be found.  Many in their dying moments realize this truth: the biggest mistake we make in life is thinking we have time.  Reminder:  there is a psalm for every season of life.  GOD sees, GOD hears, GOD will provide the correct way.  Come and drink deeply of the refreshing River of God.
