This is Day Twenty-Five of 3650 Minutes of Prayer. Today, we stand before the Lord in total transparency, inviting Him to examine the hidden places of our souls. We recognize the profound truth of Psalm 139: we cannot hide from God. Whether we ascend to heaven or make our bed in the depths, He is there. His eyes saw our unformed substance, and His Spirit surrounds us completely.
Like the olive that must be crushed to produce oil, or the vine that must be pruned to bear more fruit, we recognize that salvation is a journey of refinement. We are reminded that the "crushing" in our lives, the trials and the pressing, is often the very process that releases the pure oil of the anointing. We lean into the truth that we are the Temple of YHWH and the Church of Christ. We are new creatures; the old has passed away. Even in the midst of trials, we stand on the promise that no temptation is too great to overcome and that by His stripes, we are healed.
We now yield to this presence in prayer. We open our hearts to the immersion of the Father, asking that the Life of The Son flows through us. Let us position ourselves as living temples, ready to receive the counsel and the power that only the Holy Spirit can provide as we intercede in faith.
Prayer & Reflection Scriptures (NKJV)
Psalm 139:1–10
“O Lord, You have searched me and known me... You comprehend my path and my lying down... Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there... Even there Your hand shall lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me.”
Psalm 139:13–18
“For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb... My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret... Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed... How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand.”
Psalm 139:23–24
“Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my anxieties; and see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”
John 15:1–5
“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser... Every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit... Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.”
1 Corinthians 3:16–17
“Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?... For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.”
2 Corinthians 5:17
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
1 Corinthians 10:13
“No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful... [He] will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.”
1 Peter 2:24
“Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.”
There is One true God, the Creator of all things, revealed in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. There is One God and One Spirit Who has redeemed us all. I am Mathew Sekanjako, a believer in Y’shua HaMashiach, the one Son of God. I serve and confess God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. This intercession is offered in faith, in obedience, and in love, for all who will listen.
