Christian service, obedience, and proclaiming the Kingdom are essential elements of the Catholic faith. They are essential in the process of our conversion to Christ-likeness. They are also essential in the survival of our Catholic faith in these trying times. I talk about these here in part one. A part two, something of a call to action, is required and will be uploaded next week.
Spiritually surviving as Catholic Christians requires us to hold fast to the tools that have been tested by the fiery trials of life over the centuries. In this exhortative series, I use the Rosary Mysteries, The Rule of Saint Benedict, and a Gospel reading to encourage Christians to "hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering" [Hebrews 9:23] as we navigate our way through the changing times that we live in.
