  • Raiders of the Lost Araaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa . . . . . ! (In Aramaic)

Welcome back to another installation of Pshht Themes, starring Erin and Brennan accompanied by all your favorite noises! Erin goes "whooo!" for jungles, Brennan mimics a kookaburra, and together they are siblings! DO YOU WANT TO KNOW ABOUT ARCHAEOLOGY?!?! Erin and Brennan get INTO IT! The Tomb of the First Emperor? Sutton Hoo? NO! It's all about a man who saves one or two items from a temple, then destroys the temple! Co-starring: Ivan Ooze, Gimli, and white washed Hollywood extras! The moral of the story? It's always patriotic to punch Nazis in the face.

Warning, this episode starts with an expletive.

  • Bueller. . . ?

We're back for the dawn of 2021 and getting it started on a positive note with a feel good classic: Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Brennan is captivated by Alan Ruck's eyes, Erin weirdly wants to talk about a car more than Brennan does, and together, they really think Cameron is the main character. Enjoy creepy teachers, Star Wars Ferraris, and German frauline parade floats. Really people, Ed Rooney should be arrested. Guest starring Charlie Sheen as himself. (And weirdly, Erin's not mad about it). Will Ferris Bueller get caught? OF COURSE NOT! Because this is his MF'n day off.

  • NIAGARA FALLS - Scrooged

The holidays are messed up this year, but luckily not as messed up as it is for Frank Cross, and we get the whole family together to talk about our weird, dark family tradition watching it all unfold. In this special family episode, Erin fawns over David Johanson (Ghost of Christmas Past), Brennan does a voice, "Mom" appreciates the flirting tactics of Carol Cane (Ghost of Christmas Present), and "Dad" explains primitive TV walls (Ghost of Christmas Future).  We discuss the Looney Tunes nature of Bobcat Goldthwait, the greatness of Alfre Woodard, and ponder which part of "A Christmas Carol" was shot at the Great Barrier Reef. . . . Have a great holiday season, Void. Enjoy a highball (with an eyeball) and yet another movie with Bill Murray being a total jerk.

  • The Holiday: Cute AF

The weather outside is frightful and these love ties are so delightful, but as long as their ex's show; they won't go, they won't go, they won't go. When they finally catch their flights, oh they won't hate being out in the cold, but if Jude Law holds her tight, for two whole weeks she'll be warm! *sigh* "Jude Law. . ." says Erin. Once again, Erin gushes over yet another guy. I think this is a growing trend. Brennan names Kate Winslet his MVP and has some overflowing emotions for Jack Black and Eli Wallach. Yet another film reminder that we all wish we could just house swap with the UK for the holiday season; scratch that (Boris and Brexit). Actually how about Spain? "Mmmmmm, Antonio. . . . . ." ponders my dear sister, again. The point is, The Holiday leaves us feeling all warm and fuzzy inside, just like. . . Jude Law.

  • Warning! This review is rated ARRRRRRRRRRRGH!!!! (Pirates of the Caribbean)

Ahoy me hardies, it be time for a (cannon) blast to the past! Our intrepid hosts get down with some swishy hips and eyeliner, meaning it's time to talk about pirates. Brennan dusts off his booster seat origins, Erin gets a little excited about her pubescent awakening, and rum is the gift that keeps on giving; which is important in the season of giving. Brennan knows Erin's favorite moments AND pirates, Brennan misses his sword (stick) collection (made of sticks), and both of them are confused how this qualifies as a Disney movie. I mean really people, the butler GETS SHOT IN THE FACE!!!! Rated "ARRGH" indeed, scallywags! So gather round, let's spin a yarn, and drink up me hardies, YO HO!

  • Nipplegate: Butts, Boob, and Codpieces A "Batman & Robin" Story

Erin is back and things go sideways fast; at least they would go sideways if there was gravity in this film. From comic book to the silver screen, Erin and Brennan discuss the vivid sexual urges of Joel Schumacher and his frozen fantasies. As always, it's ICE to see Arnold SKATE his way into our lives and our COLD FROZEN hearts, but what we really learned is that George is the most bored Batman of all time. Robin is too old, Uma is a 30's radio host made corporeal, and Alicia's Bat Girl gets the exposition-end of a bad script. After this film, our hosts will need to take a minute to COOL down and CHILL out, 'cause the ZAMBONI cleaning this RINK is going to need overtime.

*All fully capitalized words must be read in Arnold's voice.

  • SOOGAAAA~!!!! Wait, this isn't on Tatooine?- a Discussion of the Mandalorian Season 1 (SPOILERS)

This week, Brennan goes (Han) solo! I mean, not really, but instead of his sister as the copilot, it's his friend Matt, but without the flight experience. Brennan and Matt dive into the Star Wars universe: Brennan as the experienced Mandalorian, and Matt as the baby yoda who keeps playing with the console controls. Nerdy lore, Sooga obsessed Jawas, and some really friendly assassination droids, these two indulge in their Star Wars fandom all the way into hyperspace. Obviously spoilers for season 1 if you haven't seen it. Happy Thanksgiving!

  • GOLDFINGER! MEH MEH, MEH!!!

Pussy, Pussy Galore. I can't help it, it's such a ridiculous name. Erin and Brennan kick off the Thanksgiving holiday by following the stealthy advice of one 007, sneak in with a fake bird on your head. Erin gets excited by male rompers, Brennan drools on the hood of a car, and they can't decide what metal is used in Oddjob's hat. I mean really, it's restrained enough to only break a person's neck, but is fully capable of decapitating statues as well? "Vibranium!" Erin calls from stage left! And in the end, could James Bond's mojo be the key to world peace?

  • Hot Fuzz: Have You Ever Shot Your Gun in the Air and Yelled AHHHH?

Brennan's birthday has come and our two hosts are set to take on Timothy Dalton's sparkling eyes in one of Brennan's favorite films: Hot Fuzz. Erin is the resident expert on Point Break and the multitude of buddy-cop film references, and Brennan just enjoys this film too much to remember that small details are not as funny in the retelling. Can they finish the podcast without Craig tossing a sea mine into the recording process, or will they leap over the countryside fences to continue their chase for rogue swans?

  • A-Troy-cious: the Story of Troy told Bad

Sing through me Muse of the of the nerdiest rantings you can imagine. These two praise Sean Bean staying alive for a whole movie, but condemn the chemistry between Paris and Helen as the most cardboard couple of all time. From boy toys to cowards, there's a great deal for these two to obsess over including, but not limited to, hatred of U$C, lack of literary accuracy, and the queerness of Achilles.  Erin cannot let the Iliad rest, and Brennan is at a loss for words for Peter O'Toole. And holy cow, Brad Pitt's wig.... But more importantly, Biden takes the lead in Georgia.
