Yesterday (13th September, 2024) I had the privilege of presenting at the Youth Justice: Prevention not Detention Conference at Kingscliff. I pre recorded this episode so it would be ready to upload following the conference. The episode is my presentation from the conference, however given it was pre recorded there are a few slight differences. I will aim to record a post conference episode so if you have any questions please email me or reach out on Linked In or Instagram - Patronus Psychology, Lisa Butcher; [email protected]
You’ll be pleased to know there’s a song at the end of the episode - titled “Let’s Start a Conversation.” Last night I couldn’t sleep with all the incredible and heavy information from the conference buzzing in my mind. I’ve decided I want to properly record many of the psychology songs I’ve written over the years and upload on Spotify. In the meantime though, feel free to listen to my existing music on Spotify under “Lisa Butcher” (album cover a Frangipani in water) and on YouTube under Lisa Butcher.
Part 4 details Chapter 4 - don't you just love when things work out like that? I talk about memories and revelations whilst reading this chapter and make 2 exciting announcements at the end of the episode :) Please dm me on instagram @patronuspsych for episode topics or to say hi!
In this episode I discuss my own realisations since discovering I'm a HSP as well as starting to read through the book by Dr Elaine Aron and detailing the key points (The book is "The Highly Sensitive Person). More parts to come!
This episodes details my revelation of discovering I am a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP)! Check out HSPerson.com to find out if you're one as well! they represent 1/5 people, and there is a spectrum of sensitivity within that 1 in 5. It is a biological trait. We are born with it. We can't fix it or change it, but we can learn to use it as our super power! Listen to learn more, and as always - send any questions to @patronuspsychology on Instragram!
