Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart were the initial musical supervisors and songwriters for The Monkees television show. They produced their first recordings before Don Kirshner stepped in. The Duo went on to ave their own pop career and succeeded in aving three top ten hits and three successful albums. This is a selective track tribute to the duo that briefly were the American Lennon & McCartney.

Eric Clapton has had a Journeyman's career in music. He began as a Blues prodigy during the British Invasion with The Yardbirds. e refined is Blues technique with John Mayall and his Bluesbreakers. And then he created the premiere Psychedelic band, Cream. He joined forces with Steve Winwood and formed Blind Faith. Then he humbly was a sideman for Delaney and Bonnie... all within the space of five years. By the time the 1970s began, He launched a very successful solo career. These are select highlights of his personal musical legacy.

This Summer marks the 40th anniversary of the most ambitious and successful benefit concerts for the purpose of aiding war-torn refugees from the nation of Ethiopia. Two concerts were organized by singer Bob Geldof; one at Wembley Stadium in London, and the other in JFK Stadium in Philadelphia. This episode features select performances from the Wembley Show. 

The Live Aid charity is still active today to assist with medicine and nutrition to regions that are still in war zones, like The Gaza Strip and Ukraine. Please make a donation to The Band Aid Charitable Trust

Pete Best will always be known as the man who was ejected by The Beatles right as they were about to be become globally famous. He has become the analogy for rejection and missed opportunities. However, Pete did create his own music and his recent group, The Pete Best band released some very good music. These are some select tracks from a man that musically has redeemed himself.

Sylvester Stewart aka Sly Stone, was an innovator and a musical prodigy. He successfully merged rock and soul music and created a new sound and genre. War was the soundtrack to every urban neighborhood in the early to mid 1970s. Both Sly Stone and War gave voice to the unheard. We pay tribute to Sly Stone.
