Daniel Bezemer and his friend Brandon Fernandez admitted to the strangulation and murder of Justine Vanderschoot in 2003. In 2005, Bezemer received a sentence of 25 years to life and Fernandez received a sentence of 15 years to life.

Alatorre and her killer met through social media and shared explicit photos of themselves, with the suspect convincing Alatorre to meet up on two occasions. On the second meeting, Alatorre was raped and strangled to death, with the killer having sex with the body before burning it."

The Keddie murders are an unsolved quadruple homicide that occurred over the night of April 11–12, 1981 in the small railroad town of Keddie, California in the United States. The victims were Glenna Susan "Sue" Sharp, daughter Tina Louise Sharp son John Steven Sharp and John's friend Dana Hall Wingate.

The murders took place in house No. 28 of the Keddie Resort.
