A “psychotic break” is a large psychotic episode. They are terrifying and can be life changing. Here I share my experience of my my schizophrenic break in October of 2016 when I was a Sophomore in college. I describe the events leading up my psychotic break and the experience eod the break itself. I hope by sharing this I can help other better understand what it’s like to have a psychotic condition and help other psychotics. My break was an awful experience but ultimately it put me on the road to recovery.
