In this episode Ryan and Mike share some tips and lessons learned about applying for the Maryland Wear and Carry Permit, also called the Maryland Concealed Carry Permit or Maryland Handgun Permit.

Meet Jason McCoy, Owner and Lead Instructor of Redpass Training Solutions out of Utah.

In this episode we sit down with Jose Segovia and Koddie Lowery of Bushido Defense out in Oregon.

Jose and Koddie are our first husband and wife training team that we have had on the show that actually train together!

Normally one spouse is the trainer and the other does the admin work like selling classes or printing certificates; not Jose and Koddie. They are both active in the training arena.

Jose and Koddie bring a combined knowledge set from military, law enforcement, and martial arts into their training regime.

They emphasize the Warrior Spirit. they expect from their students a will to fight, win, and survive and stress that a gun is a tool - you are the weapon.

1. Consider the possibilities- are you ready to take a ife?

2. Physical - understand not only the physical aspect of operating a firearm, but your own physical state as well.

Aaron has been in the firearms industry for going on a decade and runs both an FFL gun shop and a training business. He loves selling guns guns, but more importantly he is passionate about getting people trained on how to use them. He instructs across the Country but primarily in the Eastern regions surrounding Georgia.

Aaron's three big fundamentals are:1. Mental preparedness2. Spiritually prepared to lose. A win isn't guarenteed.3. Physically prepared

This week on the Practical Training Podcast we sat down with Mr. Derek LeBlanc of Kids SAFE Foundation. 

Derek started this foundation to introduce firearms and firearms safety to children as young as seven years old.

The SAFE moniker in Kids SAFE stands for Safety Around Firearms Education and he is certainly on the front lines teaching this stuff.

Since 2016, Derek, and the Kids SAFE Foundation have trained over 22,000 kids in 5 states. This is truly impressive and a big undertaking that will only grow from here!

Derek's goal is to get this information in front of as many kids as he can to stop the 8-9 daily firearms-related deaths in children.

Derek's three fundamentals that he presents to his students:

Safety.

Don't be fearful.
