Alex Carpenter grew up in a hockey family, her father Bobby was the first US-born player to score 50 goals in an NHL season.
Alex didn’t ride dad’s coattails though, she play in boys’ leagues into her teenage years, transitioned into the women’s game making the USA U-18’s at age 15 and never looking back.
She has 5 IIHF World Champion gold medals, an Olympic Silver medal (Sochi 2014) and is currently captain of the KRS Vanke Rays in the Zhenskaya Hockey League (ZhHL).
