On this week's episode the boys sit down and chat with Britt Wassick, Co-chair of Taylor James Steeves Foundation!
The Taylor James Steeves Foundation (TJSF) was founded in 2018 after the loss of Taylor Steeves. Taylor was diagnosed with a genetic form of lung cancer just days before his 30th birthday and fought the disease for 1 year before losing his battle.
Through fundraising events, like the annual Tay’s Summit Hiking Challenge, they work to provide financial to people and families going through a genetic lung cancer diagnosis. The Tay's Summit Hiking Challenge kicks off September 13th and runs through October 13th, the best time of year for hiking!
Nick wraps up his Summer Four-Thousand Footers with hikes of The Twins and Waumbek and gets ready to head to the Adirondacks, Josh has been busy coaching soccer, and we learn about the touching story of Taylor Steeves, his battle with genetic lung cancer, and how he inspired his friends and family to setup the TJSF to give aid to those fighting genetic forms of lung cancer!

The boys have both been getting out for some hikes and it's time for a recap!
Josh recaps a hike of Weetamoo Woods in Tiverton, RI with the kiddos and tries to find some Giant Trolls in Charlestown, RI! Meanwhile, Nick takes a day off and bags Mount Cabot and Mount Moriah up in New Hampshire in the same day to chip away at his Summer 48 Four-Thousand Footers! Watch out for broken bog bridges, try to stay dry, and how hard is it to find a dwarf to make a power sword these days(?) on this short, sweet, and hiking-content-filled S(mall)PUDs entry of the PUDs Podcast!

Grab your White Mountain Guide and your 48x12 Spreadsheet as Nick and Josh sit down and have an awesomely interesting conversation with friend of the podcast Fawn Langerman!
Josh had a great vacation in Saco, Maine; Nick lied about not caring about finishing his Summer 48 Four-Thousand Footers this year; and the boys are super-excited for an opportunity to chat with Fawn: AKA "BikeCampHikeGirl"! Fawn tells her story of learning to love hiking in The Whites, the decision to move to New Hampshire from Ohio, tracing the White Mountain Guide, the most intimidating thing about chasing sunrises, a week volunteering for MWOBS, "reluctantly" gridding, and o-so-much-more on this jam-packed episode of the PUDs Podcast!

Josh and Nick have been on a roll podcasting with guests, but this episode is back to just "the boys"! It's time to catchup on some of Nick's latest hikes and see what Josh has planned for a little summer getaway!
Josh deals with a wascally-wabbit, had a Daddy-beach-day, has no juke left in his ankles, and is getting ready for a trip with the family to the beaches and parks of Saco, Maine! Meanwhile, Nick has been a house-Dad but has been getting up North, and runs down all his latest hikes; including a loop of Flume and Liberty with Ash up the Terrifying 25 Flume Slide, a lunch-break loop of Cascade Path, Georgiana and Harvard Falls during Tropical Storm Debby, a loop of the Hancocks, sunset on Bald Mountain, and an out and back of Mount Jackson! It's time to play catchup and maybe it's time to accept your fate of being a fanatical Canadian Football League fan, on this episode of the PUDs Podcast!

The boys and Ash (finally!) sit down with best-friends-of-the-podcast and fellow "Hiking Peeps" Mike and Lorrie to recall that time that they all stayed in Baxter State Park back in summer of 2021, and how they found themselves assisting BSP Search and Rescue with an injured hiker down Maine's infamous mountain; Katahdin!
The gang recalls their journey to the far northern reaches of New England; the beautiful, wild, and remote, Baxter State Park where three of the Maine (and New England) Four-Thousand-Footers reside. Bagging Baxter, Hamlin, and North Brother, enjoying the serenity of Maine's biggest wilderness area, helping a concussed hiker down a trail with BSP SAR, Mike and the moth, Nick takes a swan dive, Lorrie takes a nap, Ash is over trail-mix, Josh has a lot of moisture, Charles and Shaq are in your bathroom, and the pod has a new and "adventuristiq" sponsor on this I-can't-believe-it's-taken-us-this-long-to-talk-about-this-on-the-pod episode of the PUDs Podcast!

Hiking "The Chin" of Mount Mansfield with Mike after a day of Stowe hard-cideries, Killington and porcupines on Pico Peak with Mike and Lorrie, a stormy ascent of Camel's Hump with Sara-Beth and Jay, and a grand finale traversing the "Monroe Skyline" section of the Long Trail across Ellen and Abraham in wildfire haze and Ver-mud! Ash and Nick break down all the hikes on their quest to bag the four-thousand foot peaks of the long-trailed-and-lush-neighbor-of-New-Hampshire; on this we'll-get-to-Portugal-one-day-but-let's-talk-about-Vermont-peaks-SPUDs-isode of the PUDs Podcast!
