Nick made the most of a long weekend; including getting up north for the Lakes Region Search and Rescue (LRSAR) 5K, hiking with the family around Franconia Notch, trekking up to 52-with-a-View peak Hedgehog Mountain, and then making a trip to the northwestern corner of Massachusetts to (finally!) get up to the state's highpoint: Mount Greylock!
Josh ponders what words are podcast appropriate, there are two types of people when it comes to leaves, Nick makes a wrong turn in a 5K, explores Franconia Notch with the family, revisits Hedgehog, the Appalachian Trail goes through some interesting places, the northwestern corner of Massachusetts is beautiful, we've got fresh "stickahs", getting excited for the SLASR Rek'-lis Full Conditions event, and how many Bruce Springsteen songs does Josh know(?), on this November-ish episode of the PUDs Podcast!

Fresh off the heels of Halloween the boys catchup on what's up, and Nick gets into detail about his "home" mountain, and the home mountain of many a Massachusettsan; Mount Wachusett!
Josh is all jacked-up from a post-Hallow's Eve cold but is ready to punch the clock and do some podcasting, Nick celebrates pinch-cohost-of-the-podcast Ashley's birthday, and we take a deep-dive into the 17 mile trail system of Wa-Wa-Wachusett Mountain State Reservation with its 200 acres of old growth forest on this fairly-local-episode of the PUDs Podcast!

Don't be afraid to hit the red button, the boys are getting ready to go trick or treating, Nick bags Cannon for Fall and checks out a local trail in Rehoboth, "The Coneheads" was a great movie, how many one-hit-wonders were there in the 80s(?), and we learn what it's like to get vertical on some of New Hampshire's most impressive and intimidating climbing routes on this make-sure-you-know-your-knots-and-it's-more-technique-than-strength episode of the PUDs Podcast!

On this week's episode the boys sit down and chat with Britt Wassick, Co-chair of Taylor James Steeves Foundation!
The Taylor James Steeves Foundation (TJSF) was founded in 2018 after the loss of Taylor Steeves. Taylor was diagnosed with a genetic form of lung cancer just days before his 30th birthday and fought the disease for 1 year before losing his battle.
Through fundraising events, like the annual Tay’s Summit Hiking Challenge, they work to provide financial to people and families going through a genetic lung cancer diagnosis. The Tay's Summit Hiking Challenge kicks off September 13th and runs through October 13th, the best time of year for hiking!
Nick wraps up his Summer Four-Thousand Footers with hikes of The Twins and Waumbek and gets ready to head to the Adirondacks, Josh has been busy coaching soccer, and we learn about the touching story of Taylor Steeves, his battle with genetic lung cancer, and how he inspired his friends and family to setup the TJSF to give aid to those fighting genetic forms of lung cancer!
