Kristin Park SEO Strategist - Search engine optimization is the science of improving a website to increase its visibility when people search for products or services. The more visibility your website has on search engines, the more likely it is that your brand will capture business. But when did we start realizing the importance of SEO
Well I did a little research and found out that the first recorded usage of the acronym "SEO" dated back to 1997. So, the term has been around for more than 25 years. Of course, that actually predates the creation of Google and many of the other search engines that we depend upon today. Back then, the search engines we had essentially functioned more or less like actual directories — not like online directories that you might find today, but rather, the sort of directory you might find on the wall of a particularly large store or mall. Some business owners realized that their companies weren’t as prominently placed in the directories as they should be. From there, the idea of SEO really took off. Of course Google has become the most prominent player in this area, and over the years, the rules have changed and continue to morph and adapt to better help businesses.
My guest today is Kristin Park, she is a Search Engine Optimization Strategist. Kristin understands the power of SEO and how it takes a combination of properly worded content, keywords, videos and backlinks to obtain the best results for her clients and the strategy required to get those results. I am excited to learn more about Kristin, SEO and any tips or tricks she can give our listeners to help them improve their SEO Ranking. Quick side note, Kristin is an avid skydiver with over 80 jumps to her credit. So she truly understands what it means to Pull the Chute.

Ashley Freeman - Chief People Officer, what does that role entail? Essentially, the Chief People Officer is in charge of managing the strategy and processes related to building and retaining an exceptional team of professionals. CPOs act as advisors and consultants—but must also be able to roll up their sleeves and execute solutions. Their job is to optimize people-centered activities such as hiring, training, professional development, and performance management to ensure these efforts support the company’s growth and bottom line. This role falls directly in line with the Pull the Chute philosophy which says if you Grow your People, you will Grow your company.
My guest today is Ashley Freeman, she is the Chief People Officer for Wil-Ro, a truck body and trailer manufacturing company in Gallatin, TN.
Ashley and I recently met at a Gallatin Chamber event. When she told me that she was the CPO for Wil-Ro, and what she did, I became extremely fascinated with her role.
She has professional experience in teaching, writing, and managing people. She is dedicated to recruiting and hiring top talent, ultimately fostering personal and professional development with a focus of also growing the company.
To be honest, after talking with Ashley at that event I had to ask myself why isn’t every company hiring a CPO?
Ashley has a Bachelors of Arts degree in English from Cumberland University, a Masters in English from University of Dayton and a secondary Masters degree in education and teaching. She is certified through RightPath Resources as a practitioner and coach, and she's excited to become an Enneagram coach this fall!

Why we are at War with Traditional SEO Companies
Robert Battle, Founder/CEO Qckbot Design
You have a business and in today’s time, the best way to get noticed is to build a website and then start creating content you can use across social media. This all leads to a position in search engines where people search for particular words or phrases. To increase your position in the search engines you use something called SEO, or Search Engine Optimization. This is the process of getting traffic from free, organic, editorial, or natural search results across search engines. The goal is to improve your website's position in search results pages. Remember, the higher the website is listed, the more people will see it. That all sounds great, except most of us don’t really have a clue how to make that happen. I’ve come to find out over the years that being a SEO specialist is an art. It takes time, effort and consistency.
My guest today is Robert Battle, he is the founder and CEO of Qckbot. Which he started in January 2020. As the Pandemic hit, Robert started reaching out to everyone he knew to get a handle on their challenges, the feedback was unanimous, The pandemic was hurting their sales and overall businesses. They needed something different because their normal sales channels had dried up and they couldn’t afford to invest in automation.
He started focusing on SEO for clients, built Qckbot around processes, theories and results which he had developed over the years and soon was dominating search results and growing his clients to their maximum potential.
Robert holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting and Finance and a Masters Degree in Accounting from Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee.
I’m excited to learn more about Roberts' approach to SEO and how it can help companies that rely on search engine optimization for leads and sales.

Building your brand is key to your success. Whether it’s your business brand, your personal brand or both. It’s important for people to immediately be able to connect the brand with the company or the person. I started Pull the Chute out of a passion to help businesses create a culture that is rewarding, supporting and appreciative of their people. As I have said many times before, we believe if you grow your people, you will grow your company. Being a good or even great leader can make that a reality. But what does it mean to be a good leader? One of my favorite podcasts is by Dave Stachowiak called Coaching for Leaders. His tag line is that leaders aren’t born, they're made. I couldn’t agree more. That’s why when I met today’s guest I immediately wanted to interview her for the show. As coaches, we are alway continually learning and morphing. It’s important to stay current on your thinking.
Today’s guest is Aviva Wolmer, Aviva is currently CEO of Empower Leadership and is involved with Vistage Worldwide where she is a Vistage Chair. Vistage is a peer advisory group membership organization for CEOs, business owners and executives of small- to mid-size businesses. She wants to inspire others to become the leaders they can be through helping them to envision their goals and dreams both personal and professional and empowering them with the clarity and accountability they need to achieve those goals and dreams.
Aviva has a B.A. in Criminal Justice from Florida Atlantic University and a Law Degree from the University of Baltimore Law School.

Maximizing your company's greatest resource, human capital, is paramount to your success.
