Pulling Favours with Mark & Rory

On this week's Pulling Favours, Rory and Mark speak to lead singer of The Coronas, Danny O'Reilly.

A long-time friend of the lads, Danny is known in Irish music circles as one of the nicest fellas around. He talks about the early days of The Coronas, crashing the tour-van a couple of times, the new landscape for the band and being a keen GAA man. The lads also recount a few funny tales which have stemmed from Coronas shows over the years. We're not saying they're fan boys, but if you add up all The Coronas gigs Rory and Mark have been to, it might just be about as many as the band have actually played.

The Coronas will play The Olympia, Dublin this Saturday to a special live digital audience. Tickets for 'Nowhere We'd Rather Stream' are available now on thecoronas.net.

As Country Manager for Ireland, Jack is at the forefront of raising awareness about mental health, testicular and prostate cancer among men. In the past 15 years, Movember has grown from two friends in Australia to over 6 million Mo'bros and Mo'sisters all over the world. And what is the catch? Grow a tash for November!

He’s a long time friend of Rory’s, and having gone from playing shows to 30 people in Culdaff to selling out dates in the space of an hour, he’s been a long time favourite with MRK Events.

Cian talks about Somebody's Child's journey from being a college project idea, to becoming initially an outlet for writing music for other bands, to becoming one of the best new bands in Ireland.

Their EP '20-something' was released recently, and Cian talks about influences behind that and 'not tying to any one sound' - and the band's aspirations for the band.
