  • 22. 4x4x48 Challenge in the Black Hills of South Dakota with Kas Brooke and Darren Lytle, owners of Black Elk Peak Yoga Retreats
This week I sit down with Kasondra Brooke and Darren Lytle, owners of Black Elk Peak Yoga Retreats to recap our weekend in the Black Hills. Located in beautiful western South Dakota, the Black Hills (and Badlands) are a truly ancient mountain range rising out of the plains of the upper midwest; a sacred land for the Native American tribes of the region. The three of us spent the weekend exploring some of the our favorite destinations in the Hills- Badlands National Park, Needles Highway in Custer State Park, Historic Deadwood, Spearfish Canyon, Bear Butte State Park, Pactola Lake, and more. We wanted to use our 4x4x48 challenge, inspired by David Goggins in which we ran 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours, to show off the great state of South Dakota. A truly unique way to experience the magic of the Black Hills indeed!
