In 2005, Kevin JZ Prodigy and VJtheDJ changed the floor forever.

The "Hummingbird" track emerged from one of ballroom's most important creative partnerships. A trilogy that rewrote the rules of production and performance.

Kevin JZ Prodigy, The Voice, turned commentator's chants into a rhythmic weapon. VJtheDJ, The Producer, literally reversed the word "Hummingbird" in the audio, flipping it backward and building an entirely new beat from what came out the other side. The track named itself: dribgnimmuH.

Together they didn't just make a track, they made a blueprint.

Twenty years later, DJ Delish, one of the most sought after for current ballroom sound, answers the call with HUMMIN'. Honoring the architects while pushing the sound into the future. This is lineage in action. The Bloodline.

A few weeks back, the Instagram timeline got a bit loud. Davud IX shared his first steps into the world of Vogue production from Uzbekistan, and like anything in this culture, it was met with a "trial by fire."

I stepped in....not to gatekeep, but to bridge the gap. After 8 years of walking New Way, Davud isn’t a stranger to the floor; he’s been in the trenches. He just needed a moment of understanding to frame his journey correctly. I promised him then that we wouldn’t just talk about it....we’d make something about it.

The Remix: A Musical Hug

This isn't a correction; it’s a handshake across the globe. I took Davud’s original "Hydra" sounds from the sent files, took the sharp industrial synths and other bits, rearranged them and turned into a queen haha. This re-work was not meant to bend the whole world but to show this bitch...... DO NOT LET THESE GIRLS GET TO YOOOOOOU!!!!!! But also listen and communicate.
