Pumping Up The Podcast - A Hannah Montana Podcast

Elise is joined by her friend Kamryn to talk about a largely forgotten episode of Hannah Montana, "Oops! I Meddled Again." The struggle is real as they give you all the deets on a frustratingly Hannah-free A-plot, a B-plot all about chicken wings, and one character's "chunky highlights."

Elise is joined by her friend Karen to talk all about the tenth episode of Hannah Montana, "Oh Say, Can You Remember The Words?" Discussion topics include the progression of Miley Cyrus's stage presence, a surprisingly adult b-plot, and a tangent about Gossip Girl, which leads to a tangent about Riverdale... which lead to Elise cutting out several minutes of this episode during the editing process. We also meet a new recurring character and a very seductive chocolate bunny.

Elise is once again joined by her friend Courtney, this time to discuss the many oddities of Hannah Montana's ninth episode, "Ooo, Ooo, Itchy Woman." Together they talk about the best B-plot so far, do their best impressions of the act break riffs, and learn that when you get down with the dogs, you end up with fleas.

Elise is joined by her friend TJ for a chat about Season One Episode 8 of Hannah Montana, "Mascot Love." Miley and Lilly test their luck at cheerleading tryouts as Jackson attempts to fix a sink... it's a pretty straightforward episode, but Elise still manages to find a way to bring up Jesse McCartney, and TJ discovers that she has a low tolerance for episodes that don't feature pop star content.

Elise and Alana are back at it, this time getting deep into Season One, Episode 8 of Hannah Montana, "It's A Mannequin's World." You could hypothetically make a drinking game out of every time they reference their time studying theatre, or out of every time Alana references a particular song from High School Musical, or out of every time someone mentions the store Limited Too. Other high points include Elise explaining one of her favorite Vines, a breakdown of an impossible-to-execute scheme, and a dispute over Miley Stewart being a #fashionicon.

Elise and returning guest Alana discuss the sixth episode of Hannah Montana, "Grandmas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Play Favorites." They revisit the conversation around Hannah's growing level of fame, are puzzled by the nature of Robby Ray's secret identity, get very angry about a wig, and go on a brief tangent concerning John Cena. They also touch on a deeper subject surrounding the show's target demographic and the lessons the viewer gets taught.

Elise and returning guest Courtney break down the fifth episode of Hannah Montana, "It's My Party And I'll Lie If I Want To." There's so much to get through: the first appearances of two recurring characters, Hannah getting invited to Kelly Clarkson's birthday party, a B-plot involving a pre-fame Alison Brie, a roster of some intense Lilly-as-Lola outfits, a hairstyle that leads to a tangent on "Rio" and "Rio 2".... the list goes on and on.

Elise and her friend Renata have a chat about the fourth episode of Hannah Montana, "I Can't Make You Love Hannah If You Don't," an episode with a great A-plot and a truly baffling B-plot. Miley goes on a date with "a total doofus," Jackson hangs out with a brother and sister that LOVE microwave popcorn, we experience the most cringe-y sequence of the series thus far, and the conversation around Hannah's real level of fame continues.

Elise and her friend Kayla discuss the third episode of Hannah Montana, "She's A Super Sneak." This episode has next to no Hannah Montana in it, despite featuring two iconic Hannah songs! Elise and Kayla also attempt to answer many questions about this episode, including but not limited to: What's on Robby Ray's Wikipedia page? What is the plot of the film "The Adventures of Little Miss Red Shoes"? What kind of name is Margo Diamond? How does a 14-year old buy a house?

Elise and her friend Alana discuss the second episode of Hannah Montana. The episode raises a lot of questions, including but not limited to: is Hannah Montana merely a local celebrity? Who is the owner of a mysterious dog? Did Jackson buy a "chick car"? Will we ever see Locker Man again?
