Its finally here! Episode 2 of the Leading Females in Fitness series and I am beyond excited to share this one with you guys! Debra was another one of my amazing college professors back in my Humber days. It was so lovely catching up but also incredibly inspiring to get her take on some of my burning questions about females and the fitness industry. We talk a lot about how different "staying in-shape" can be for women as they age; more-so then men in a lot of cases. And we talk about what it is like being a full-time online fitness coach, a bikini competitor, a girlfriend and a mom!
Such a cool episode and I cannot wait to hear what you guys think!
Finally bringing some fitness-related content to the podcast folks!! This is more of a question and answer/ conversation styled podcast; it might not be everyones cup of tea but I had an amazing time reconnecting with some of my favourite leading females in fitness and I hope you'll enjoy it too!
This first episode is with Leigh Gavarkovs, she was my group exercise professor at Humber College. She is also a club manager, a dancer/dance teacher, group ex. teacher, mother, partner and freakin fabulous human! We talk about how the fitness world has changed due to the pandemic, what she thinks about fitness influencers and their toll on the industry, plus she leaves me with a lot of really wonderful advice as a young female looking to "make it" in this ever changing space.
I am so blessed to have so many strong women to look up to, and I am so excited to share that privileged with all of you! So grab your runners and head out for a walk or grab a snack and take a seat!
I have been wanting to talk about failure for a while now; as someone who is constantly questioning what I am doing, what I am feeling and WHY I am noticing that every quote-on-quote FAILURE in my life has been closely followed by some of my greatest achievements. So that has me thinking; how do we define failure? Why do we define it as such and is failure REALLY ever failure or are we all just trying to fucking figure our shit out?
2021 seems to be looking a whole hell of a lot like 2020 and I dont know about all of your but Im fucking terrified. Todays episode is a chance to crawl inside my incredibly cluttered mind. I want to talk about what I didn't accomplish in 2020, what I actually did accomplish and why the fuck its so hard to be in your 20s right now.... So please, if you have a spare 30 minutes take a listen to my audible diary entry so that I may not feel so alone in the things that I am thinking and feeling. And who knows... maybe some of you can relate.
On todays episode we talked about all of the things. An unfortunate DM experience this Monday birthed a conversation about the difference between unasked for compliments and unwanted attention. It sparked a conversation about the motivation behind starting my OnlyFans and the motivation behind deleting my OnlyFans.
Todays episode is a healthy combination of thoughts, feelings, facts and opinions. I can only speak to my experiences; take from said experiences what I can to learn, grow and move on.
I hope you all can either relate or leave this episode having learned a new perspective. Thank you to everyone racking out, supporting and contributing to these episodes; you guys make me a better person every time you do. I love you all, thanks for listening.
We ALL struggle with body image/ body insecurities in some way shape or form. This is a topic near and dear to my heart, its why I started doing the things I do and its where my mission statement comes from. Your feelings are valid. The way you feel in your body; about your body is important. Wanting to work on/change the way you feel in your body IS VALID. Why?? Because your vanity is welcome here.
Keeping this nudes ball rolling!! I asked you guys what your opinions on nudity on social media when in a relationship; I read every response and now its my turn to share mine. Please give a listen and tell me what you think! I have said it before; I will say it again. You do not need to choose between being sexy and being respected; this does not change when you are in a relationship.
Riding off of my slut shaming episode this one was kind of a ramble not gonna lie. But I feel like thats just my style at this point. So enjoy!!
Episode 3 is just straight spilling tea babes. Grab a snack, sit your fine ass down and listen to me drop some gossip. Gossip with a purpose. I am so fucking sit of the woman on woman hate. We deal with ENOUGH bullshit on the daily from dudes; we do not need to also deal wit it from each other. We are stronger together.
