Episode 32 - Today I am joined by special guest RJ Stern, a Laney College alum and star of the hit Netflix documentary Last Chance U. In our conversation, RJ shares how moving around as a kid and constantly having to adapt and overcome challenges shaped him into who he is. He also talks about his time on the show, the grind of JUCO football in California, and what compelled the filmmakers of Last Chance U to make him a focal point and share his story. Also, he explains why despite his elite talent at the game of football and successful high school career, he received no offers to play college football. I also got to see another side of RJ that is not shown in the show. The side of him shows how he has grown as a man over the years and what it took to humble himself in the process. Episode 31 - Today, I will share some of the things I came to learn and recognize while spending the first half of my senior year of college at home. Ask me four years ago what my senior year would be looking like, I would say exactly like this! I'm Kidding. Beyond kidding. A fully remote semester was difficult for me, especially with the wound of my football career coming to an unexpected end still bleeding. Things like how I structured my day, what time I would eat and workout, when I would do my schoolwork, all changed.

However, we adapted and overcame. These past few months challenged me in many different ways, and I am excited to share my struggles, triumphs, discoveries, and realizations. Episode 28 - Julius Marchi is a Business Owner, Entrepreneur, Investor, and College Student. Alongside his brother, he and Julius started a Power Washing business and this summer alone made over $30k in revenue. He also ran a successful dropshipping site through Amazon before the pandemic ran its course. However, when one door closes, another opens. His entrepreneurial drive led him to look for new opportunities to start another business and did so quickly and effectively with his power washing gigs.

While many college students are looking forward to Holiday breaks to binge watch the latest Netflix craze, catch up with friends and relatives, or just relax, as a normal student would. Julius on the other hand is amped up to use the extra time to develop new business strategies, build connections, work towards purchasing his first real estate property, and invest in index funds. Talk about ambition! Julius also lets us in on the daily habits he has adopted to see improvements in all aspects of his life.

Episode 26 - Justin Titchenell and Jack Volker are current college seniors and football players at (my college's rival school) Gettysburg College. Justin is the Founder and CEO of CoachTools, while Jack is the CMO. CoachTools is a platform for both High School and College Football coaches to improve the way they organize data, track progress, make comparisons, and strengthen the player-coach relationship.

I had a great time getting to talk to these two guys about how they were able to leverage their experiences playing college football to develop a platform for coaches to be more efficient and foster sustainable success by improving the way they prepare, evaluate, grade, and execute. Being a college football player myself, I see the need for what CoachTools is and just how valuable it can be to any coach looking to take a program to the next level.

Episode 24 - Malthe Helt is a Bryant University student, former Hockey Player, and current PGA Golf Prospect. He is finishing up his last semester in college while also training intensely in pursuit of his goal to become a Professional Golfer on the PGA Tour. Born in Denmark, he has lived in 4 different countries and 5 different states. His early life was dedicated to hockey as he moved away from home to pursue his dream at 15. He also played for the Danish Junior National Team and played 2.5 years of juniors after graduating high school.

After having to step away from the game he loved and dedicated much of his life to, he picked up golf in April of 2018 and leaned on his lessons from playing hockey including dedication, hard work, and discipline to become a pro prospect. Since 2018, he has built a team of supporters such as coaches, nutritionists, strength trainers, and a marketing team.

Malthe has been crushing the TikTok and Instagram game, getting thousands of views for his insane trick shots, not all of them even using a golf ball. He is using these platforms to market himself for his future while trying to put a smile on people's faces and encourage everyone to do their part when it comes to social issues. I had a great time getting to Malthe, and hopefully, the next time I interview him he will be on the PGA Tour!

Episode 23 - Welcome back, everyone! This episode is part two of my conversation with Krysta Huber. Krysta Huber is a Certified personal trainer and nutrition coach, founder and owner of The Fitness Fyx and co-founder CEO of The Well, a total mind-body-spirit and beauty company. She currently specializes in nutritional coaching, mindfulness, and overall well-being.

In this episode, we wrap up our discussion on fat loss and nutrition and debunk some common myths about what we should/should not consume. Then, Krysta shares some personal stories on how she bounced around exploring different roles in various professions. Krysta also opens up about how she fell into a deep depression after some unfortunate events unfolded in her life, and how eventually, she broke through that funk and started elevating her life. She has since quit her 9-5 and is taking the fitness and nutrition game by storm. This was an incredible learning experience for me, and will bring a lot of value to anyone struggling with mental health, struggling to find their purpose, dealing with self-doubt, and also any early entrepreneurs.
