In this episode, Elric has come up with a fun sampler idea for he and Brian to work with. For this Violence Sampler, there are five Categories for the films picked: 1. Hack/Slash 2. Shoot 3. Explode 4. Fists 5. Wild

Each Film was chosen to slot into one of these classifications and it was blast to put the lists together. Enjoy!

For this Bonus Interview episode, Brian talks to filmmaker David Kittredge about his excellent new documentary BOORMAN AND THE DEVIL - which examines the tumultuous making of the film EXORCIST II: THE HERETIC in gret detail. While the movie focuses on that production and its many issues, it also serves as a lovely career retrospective for John Boorman as well. In addiotion to talking about how his doc came about, Kittredge also indulges us and offers pairings for five of his favorites from Boorman's amazing filmography.

BOORMAN AND THE DEVIL is being distributed by in North America by Yellow Veil Pictures and has some limited theatrical dates set for late August but will be expanding into more theaters on September 4th. In the meantime, there will be a screening of the movie at The Aero Theater in Santa Monica in conjunction with the American Cinematheque on Tuesday August 18th at 7:30PM. You can buy tickets here: https://www.americancinematheque.com/now-showing/boorman-and-the-devil-08-18-2026/

In this bonus episode, Brian talks to cult actor extraordinaire Clint Howard. They chat about his 2021 Book The Boys: A Memoir of Hollywood and Family, which he cowrote with his brother Ron Howard (the audiobook version is highly recommended) as well as Clint's upcoming directorial debut film and some of his favorite underrated movies from his vast filmography.

Heads up, Clint will be having a 31st Anniversary screening of his classic THE ICE CREAM MAN as part of the Burbank International Film Festival on August 7th at the AMC Burbank 16: https://www.burbankchamber.org/event-details/ice-cream-man-screening-burbank-international-film-festival
