On todays program you will be haring from the 135lbs Champion for Cage Titans, Jay Perrin, who is coming off a huge win last weekend, successfully defending his Bantamweight title.Perrin opens up about what drives him as a fighter telling our listeners about his best friend who tragically passed away not long ago and the impact it made on his life. He then goes on to tell us what his plan for 2019 is with the main goal obviously being able to reach the UFC but is a bit hesitant about debuting on the new Dana Whites Tuesday Night Contender Series. Its pretty obvious that Perrin has a good grip on the new way of the MMA scene being more of an entertainment business just as much as it is about skills and winning fights. Once you hear this interview you will understand why people really believe he will be a huge star moving forward if things keep going at this rate and should be no surprise to why the UFC most likely has their eyes on him. Today on an all new episode of Pure EVil MMA we are joined by a familiar face here on the program dating back to 2017 as Derik Scott returns to catch everyone up on what's been unraveling inside his career since last joining us. However this time he will not be talking about an upcoming fight or his weight cut but rather how he was recently discovered by NBC producers for a brand new hit show hosted by WWE legend "The Rock", called "TITAN GAMES". Not only was he on the show, but he won the challenge and was crowned a TITAN as families from all over the country tuned in to witness what the hype was all about. The show broke records for most viewed new series on NBC and will be airing weekly. Derik brings listeners through his experience on how he was discovered by producers and compares the similarities and differences of training for this event and training for a fight. He also tells us what it was like to meet The Rock in person and if he is actually as nice as he comes off on TV and movies and what we can all expect next from him. HEAR BOTH SIDES OF THE STORY. Last weekend Connor Barry was set to fight Joe Giannetti of TUF 27 at Cage Titans in Mass. However the fight was called off in what fans and coaches are saying is a BS call by ref. Last night we spoke with Joe Giannetti, so its only fair to hear from both parties in this case. Barry tells us that even UFC VET Joe Lauzon was even upset with the call and said the ref was blind. Hear from Barry how he feels and what he wishes he would have done different if he could go back in time. PureEVilMMA.com
